I think the dreaded Walk of Shame is mostly in a persons head.
Some years ago I stayed in the Ibis Slipi (very girl friendly, by the way) while there was an international golf tournament in Jakarta. The organisation had lodged a number of the players in Ibis Slipi and made sure the players were well looked after.
So naturally every moning there was a lot of fond goodbyes between golfers and Sweet Young Things at the front door of the hotel. Of course this did not go unnoticed by other hotel guests and on various occasions I heard people say how remarkable it was that so many golf players were married to Indonesian women :-)

I can confirm what KL Guy said; this hotel is gf - absolutely no issues. I think the walk of shame is in your head - not really the concerns of people in the hotel. If, however, you still feel awkward, don't go up the stairs into the lobby, but walk around the side into the car park and take the lift straight to your room without even seeing the lobby. I also took a girl down this way as she left a bit late in the morning and didn't have "normal" clothes to wear. Just walked her straight out and got her a taxi so she didn't have to do the "walk of shame";).

If your girl wasn't all lady, I can see how you might feel embarrassed - though why you took "her" when you had your suspicions is beyond me...

Met the same girl again on Sunday but she was with a friend. So just hung out at My Bar for a while.

Then they decided to return with me to my hotel and that's when it got a bit complicated. One girl was fine to go with me but here friend kept insisting that I order room service for her and that she will leave after she finishes eating. Three well-known places are all located in 5-star hotels: BATS in Hotel Shangri-La, the Tiga Puluh Bar in Le Meridien Hotel and C.J.'s at Hotel Mulia (not Hotel Melia). Please don't overpay - recent reports suggest a price of 300,000 rupiah for short-time, maybe 500,000 to 600,000 for all night. There is absolutely no need to pay 1 million - if the girl asks for that much, either negotiate down or find another girl who's not as greedy.

The bars at Blok M (Jalan Falatehan) are also a good place. You could also go mall-hunting.

In case you're interested in in-call massage places, two higher-level spas are located inside Hotel Alexis and Hotel Malioboro. Lower-level places include Kartika Spa and Berlian Spa (located next to each other in same alley) and Hotel Travel, all located in the northern part of town near Jalan Mangga Besar, and Maribaya Spa in Hotel Melawai located near Blok M.

I had been told that Classic is the happening place in town as they had the promotion going for two gals at 350k. I concur on the going rate, 300k ST. Last month, I pulled on two different nights from Blok M for 300k ST. One was younger and nice looking. The other was milf and went BBFS with pics for that amount. My ISG wingman was similarly pulling them out for 300k. They would start at 600k ST and come down, or try to sell a a 2 girl ST with their wingcewek for 600k ST.
