Thermae may be best between 8-10 pm, and the other nightclubs only heat up after midnight. So if Spasso is at its height at midnight or so, I see the outlines of a bar-hopping scheme forming.

About 10 years ago I spent a lot of time in BKK and I had perfected the art of jumping from bar to bar. In fact, I sometimes hit 7-8 clubs / spots per night, trawling for the perfect lovely. Taxi tricks: don't even engage with the ones parked near Mixx, or the ones that wait on the corner. Just walk around across the street towards the Hyatt and grab a cab there. Now if you have a babe, its another story, you will probably pay a premium.

I am curious as to what impact the upcoming election will have on mongering. One person already mentioned girls having to wear baggy clothes in case the police come and that it was due to the election. Has anyone heard or seen any other impacts? Plus its my gathering point for a cab. If it is wild around Lower Suhk / Asoke at closing times and the cabbies are being d*cks with their rates to home, I just walk up there in 20 minutes and catch a cab near the Hyatt, 100 baht from there gets me to my crib.
