Not that much, if it's 50K baht.
I am planning to visit Koh chang this summer, I was wondering if I should bring my own female company from Pattaya or just find one on the island.
Datebayo
I was just in Ko Chang in February and I brought a girl I met on a previous trip. Each night we went out we stopped at bars that had plenty of women working there. I would not hesitate going without a girl next time, I saw plenty there and the good thing is they have less guys to choose from due to the fact everyone thinks the island is BYOP.
Off subject......it is a beautiful island so rent a scooter and check it out!

I guess to some it seems like anything over $1000 is practically living like a king.
Should start on April 13th and last +/- one week.
Possible but in Bangkok it is not much safer than in Pattaya, just shorter (3 days "only").
Thanks for the info!

That was in the past... right now if your are talking U.S. dollars / 50,000 at current exchange rate give or take here and there. We are talking at less $1500/$1600.00 USD a month.
If he has 50,000 baht to spend on just a place to live.. then based on the way things are here. Who can you really trust issues? If what Datebayo wrote I would highly contact him. Experience and word of month is your best bet.

I wouldn't say that 50.000 THB a months is much for a decent Hotel room. Ok, there are decent appartments for 30.000 THB a months, even on beach road, near walking street. But, if you book a room at a 3 or 4 star Hotel in south Pattaya expect to pay 1200 - 2000 THB a day. For example Dynasty Inn in Soi 13 will be around 1300 - 1400 THB. I would rate it as a 3 star Hotel, clean, but no internet in the rooms at higher floor.
Nova Platinum will be about 1600-1800 Bath and this is with wifi at room.

Daytime Gogos
Hey Guys,
Not been on the site for a while but just catching up as I fly back to Patts on Fri. I try not to read the site inbetween trips as I just get depressed at all you bastards sh*gging all my girlfriends when I'm away!! :-)
Taking a friend for his first time this trip. God it will be like seeing a kid on christmas morning. :-) I'm envious of him.
Anyway, Apart from my usual lunchtime haunt, TQ, what other gogos are open in the afternoon now. I haven't been there for 4 months.
Thanks guys.

Daytime Gogos
This website has a lot of information about gogos such as opening hours, although it is not always up to date:
http://www.Pattayagogos.com
These are the ones that I am familiar with:
Tahitian Queen, Beach Road near soi 13
New Star GoGo, soi Diamond near Super Girl GoGo
Nui's Club 2 GoGo, Walking Street
These two on soi 13/2 tend to have lower quality girls:
Club Nevada
Far East Rock GoGo

Warning
I am staying at Pattaya right now and I am not a regular writer here. I stayed here for 5 months so I can say I am " experienced ". They would not easily trick me
Nevertheless 4 days ago I took my number so and so from Beach road and she succeeded at late night in a flash of a moment (15 seconds not being attentive is enough)to put something in my drink. Being unconscious. " sleep " for 10 hours and my apartment was robbed by 3 rats from beachroad. (the two assistents came later as the video showed later vaguely)
I just tell it here to warn all of You!. And don't say that it will not happen to you because I can tell you I am not an old tart or something. And I it happens a lot.

Happened to me once. Nothing was stolen because there was nothing to steal. That is the best protection against theft. Either have nothing of value or keep it in a safe.
The stupid c**ts didn't even get their ST fee because it was in a small pocket of my jeans and I guess they didn't find it.

Paying for a whole month (or even longer) in advance in a hotel, you can get some serious discounts so 50K is definitely a lot.
And if you have time and look around, you can find really nice things for a lot less.
I've stayed 2 months in Purple House in soi khopai for example. They had just opened, I was the first tenant. There was an opening promotion for a nice 30sqm room with everything one needs: 5.000 bahts/month !!! No maid service but this wouldn't have been a problem if wished and would have cost about 3K/month. OK that was not a hotel but an apartment. Still, you're quoting 30K for apartments, that seems extremely expensive to me.
Similarly, very nice rooms and swimming pool at Bonkai Resort (soi Bonkai), I've stayed one month there last year and paid 12.000 bahts if memory serves. Maid service 3 times a week.

Old Tarts

Please, guys, don't ever ever bring these girls to your own hotel room or apartment. Short time rooms are only 100-200 baht. So, the rules are simple:
1. Never bring any girl back to your own room, and
2. Never bring out more than you need for an evening
- in my case I never bring more than 1,500 baht.

Yep.
Here's the latest article on the problem.
Is this your little sweetheart? She says she's done it 30 times.
