Today I got this question from a girl just wrapping up her B. Sc.
"have you been here since your last visit?"
Charmingly simplistic in a way, isn't it?
Maybe she has been reading Quantum Mechanics? LOL
No problem having two profiles? I thought this was not allowed at DIA?
It isn't if they twig you are the same person-
Been reading these posts all of which seem to try to determine why and the percentage which on DIA ask for money or not. Amusing really.
Imnsho, most all on DIA are scammers. It is a question of whether they are going for the short con or the long con. In fact most WOMEN regardless of nationality are scammers. They know that marriage to a westerner may bring huge rewards including 1) going to USA where they can join all the feminist see*nts there along with all the rights a privileges 2) assignment of any benefits their husband may receive, especially after he is DEAD 3) support for her and her kids,
Her mother, sisters, brothers and cousins 4) use your imagination as they do!
If they are young and you are old they may also take a Filipino be / f in secret so they don't have to sleep with an old fart all the time. This is assuming she is not one of the many already married and being directed on chat by her husband.
If on the other hand they see that you WILL NOT marry them, then they switch to the short con:
Pump him for whatever you can get in as short of time as possible. Kinda the same as F*k.
As many of them in as short of time as possible but with the tables turned.
HOw can you tell if you've found one of the rare ones not operating on this frequency? That is the woman who can provide more than just sex and cooking for you. One that helps pay the bills or helps in other significant ways (and I don't mean introducing you to all her hungry friends). Those will be rare as h*ll on DIA. There are some but the are few and far between.
When a woman helps with the bills or in other significant ways, then you know she loves you and is trying to make a go of it.
Maybe she has been reading Quantum Mechanics? LOL
LOL. Absolutely.
She has some rich perverted American "friend" that she chats with about her 12 year old sister in exchange for piles of 1000 PHP bills. Bet you that he will be very surprised when he finds out that his pervo-cash funded the discovery that the Schrödinger equation actually describes my Philippines travel itinerary.
Nerd-Barba
What is her DIA name?
Here's a warm and fuzzy profile from DIA.
Damn those guys who keep on telling how good they are.
I'm stupid and crazy, I smoke, I get drunk and puke, I watch porn, I go naked, I dance like a stripteaser, I fuck, I scream when I'm mad, I laugh most of the times, I cried when I'm hurt, I don't hate, I curse when I'm upset, I mess up almost everytime, I'm shy and determined at the same time, I prefer to be called funny than hot, I daydream a lot, I have had nightmares, I'm afraid to watch horror films, I have reasons almost to everything that happens to me, I don't care if people don't understand why I am me, I'll kill if the need arises.
She's in Cebu, so someone give her a ride.
Translation anyone?
It isn't if they twig you are the same person-

Translation anyone?
DIA have a policy of one account per person and if they realise (or someone informs them) that you have two accounts they will delete them both. But if noone tips them off you shoukld be able to get away with two accounts for a while.
I have been video chatting (met on CB) with this gal in Butuan for almost a month about an hour per day. Age 28, average looks, above average intelligence. 3 kids baggage. The plan has been for me to rent a place for 20 days there (in November) and she would stay with me. I really thought she was legitimate. Every girl that has tried to scam me, has done it within the first week.
She never asked for money, but since she was using an internet cafe, I decided to send her $20 to help out. I figured that she spends close to that much per month at the internet cafe talking to me.
Yesterday, she told me that she got bit by a dog. Said she went to the doctor, who suggested that she get 3 shots to prevent the possibility of rabies. Never offered to show me the wound, but eventually I asked to see it. Hard to tell if it was real or just makeup on the camera.
Of course, you can see where this is going. She asked for money for the shots. I told her "no". She said that she understood and did not push, but I am strongly leaning towards dumping her now. There are plenty more girls on CB.
My questions are:
Did I possibly blow it with this girl by helping out with the $20?
Anyone see this particular scam before?

Anyone see this particular scam before?
Very unlikely, particularly as the amount is so small. Rabies is endemic in the Philippines and a real hazard, particularly with so many aso's running about wild (but not as many as in Thailand as Pinoys just love dog stew with their evening booze sessions!).
Just best make sure that she realizes that to be effective, she will need at least two or three boosters, depending on whether or not she had a prophylaxis shot.
Very unlikely, particularly as the amount is so small.
Yes, plus the fact that she is a bit older and has three kids. She's not going to risk screwing up a possible relationship for such a small sum. Its easy to get paranoid reading the posts on this forum, but often the girls are in fact honest. I would give her the money, but maybe that´s because I am soft hearted david_33.

Anyone see this particular scam before?
I do not know why you are getting involved with a lady with three kids to support? Unless you are the type to support her and her three kids do not get involved. Should not have even sent $20.
I am sure you can find some young girl without baggage to stay with you.
She has gotten along without your help so far. She will continue to get along fine.
If you continue to contact her there will be much more demand for this and that. I would say cease all contacts.
I do not know why you are getting involved with a lady with three kids to support?
I respectfully disagree with you on this one Sammon. The guy seems to be looking for a LTR and doesn't seem to be a monger. The girl in question will bend over backwards to make sure he's happy given her circumstances. You really think she's going to blow it by trying to squeeze Western Union out of a guy who is planning on traveling to her island and staying with her? Maybe she really got bit by a dog and needed some rabies shots. Or maybe I´m just a hopeless romantic.

Anyone see this particular scam before?
Welcome to the board!
Although I do not condone sending money without meeting in person first, this story seems plausible. Just a few months back, one of my girlfriends got bitten by a feral cat that she feeds on occasion. The three boaster shots cost something like 2500 php. Sure she probably did not need the shots but better safe then sorry!
I know of a case just last summer where a girl in Cebu died from rabies. So money for rabies shots is not out of the question.
Even if it is a scam, she deserves the twenty bucks for creativity.
Thanks for the feedback guys. David_33 is correct in that I am more of a LTR person than a monger, although I do plan to take advantage of my layover in Manila. I was going to dump her, but from the feedback I have gotten, I am now leaning towards giving her the benefit of the doubt and will assume that she just panicked. BTW, I had already sent the $20 by snail mail to help her out with the internet cafe expenses before this happened. I will not give her any more money until I meet her.
If she is trying to scam me, I will say she is definitely a lot smarter, creative, and patient than the last ones.
