I dont know about Cebu Pacific! But here in Australia every air line is putting fuel surcharge on! I just bought ticket to Manila and because it is 2 sectors the fuel surcharge was 120 dollars! But hey with the price of fuel, you have to expect that they want to make the same money! Any way its still cheap!

Hey all,
Could you please help. I was in Thailand last Christmass / new years and January. This year I am planning to go on the same trip, but am thinking about hitting Philpines instead of Thailand. Could the experts help in comparing the two places, in terms of women, fun, quality and cost. I would realy appreciate it as I have to make a decision soon.
Thank you!
I will be going to the PI in November and have a one night layover in Manila.
Do any Senior Members have any advice and where is the best place to go to find good looking girls?
Thanks

Skyway,
Your question is perhaps the most frequently asked in the Philippines forum. You will find much more in the site achives.
Very briefly, costs of girls in Bangkok vs Manila are approximately the same. Philippines. is cheaper if you go to Angeles City - but then you have to get there. Thailand has a far better tourism infrastructure, more things to see and do other than mongering and is much safer for first time visitors. Philippines spoken English is better than in Thailand, but then more action and less talk is not such a bad thing.
Brad 98,
You'll probably find good looking girls on the airplane. If you are fllying any of the American airlines, you'll be especially delighted with the flight attendants. Although I've never indulged, they strike me as the type who would be happy to tie you up and spank you.
Good looking girls....you should try the Ukraine pen pal lists. The Filipina tend to be titless, 90lb and have flat noses. No one wears glasses in the Philippines 'cause of their noses....the glasses slide right off. Course they can't afford contacts, so if you're ugly this is a plus. The country girls tend to have scars on their legs....from the leaches. Hard work in the rice fields. Last I heard, the few remaining Filipina beauties were working in Japan, or already married to some pensioner in the 1st world.
One night layover, huh? Well, if you can't change your plans, just ask the taxi driver to take you to Smokey Mountain. I heard it's kind of romantic at the mountain. You never know what could happen.
If smokey moutain doesn't work out, try Burgos Ave.
So, where you headed "Brad" who graduated from high school in "98"?

Fastpiston gives and excellent summary.
Thailand is certainly a wonderful place to go. I love the food and I love how 20ish women can be naturally ....bald. Love the bald girls. If you've been to Thailand you know what I mean. The beaches are better, more history...
I think the original question was rather narrow....something about mongering. If that is all you worry about, I can't see how you could have a bad time in either place.
Somehow I end up in the Philippines these days. The English edge means you might be invited to parties, have "normal dates", can give directions to a taxi driver, can meet people at the drop of a hat, etc, etc.
I truly envy the guys who've learned one of the more difficult languages inthe world....Thai.
ONE POINT......
Althought Thailand far surpasses the Philippines with regard to "infrastructure", you still have to be VERY careful with water and washed veggis in Thailand.
Does anyone know why this is? I've had no problems with tap water in the Philippines, although I don't recommend it. I've been deathly sick in Thailand on two occasions ...after eating salads....(although the real problem may be something entirely different...who knows).
Let me sum this up by quoting FP

Thailand has a far better tourism infrastructure, more things to see and do other than mongering and is much safer for first time visitors.
Hello all,
I am sorry that my quistion must have upset the members of this board. It was not my intention. I have been reading this board for about a year and have always found it to be friendly to new members posting. I did not graduate in 98 but the system would not let me use my regular screen name.
I find most of the ladies I have seeen pictures of on this board to be nice looking, but there seems to be some large differance of opinion on were to meet them. I have never been to the PI and I am going to gensan for my friends wedding, so I will have a one night stay in manila and wanted to go out and see some of the places I have read about on this board. I would like some advice from anyone who could help. I just dont want to end up having a poor time because I go to the wrong place and waist my one night in Manila.
Thank you for your help

I don’t know why you would believe that anyone here would or should be upset by your questions? Obviously this type of question is simply too wide for anyone to give you a simple straight forward answer. However, I must ask why is it you feel that only Senior members could answer your question – :) I have seen this written many times on various threads and I often wonder what skills does a senior member possess that a regular member does not, to enable them to answer these types of questions?
Anyway as you to question my opinion is that generally every one of the members here has a different take on what constitute a good looking woman, some people here base their judgement on price/ body/age/ skin fairness etc. But one thing is for sure is that if we were here for 1000 years we would never agree on what is a good looking women.
Nevertheless, as is the case in any other country good looking women = higher price, its simply a case of supply and demand. There are no beauty queens going for 500 Pesos in Manila, more like 5000 Pesos – if there are I am yet to find one. So I don’t know what your circumstance are but I would suggest that as you are obviously “time poor” but I am not sure if you “cash rich” but as you desperate to sample at least one night in Manila, price is not too much of a factor here. Japanese businessmen are "cash rich" (Yen/Peso) but "time poor" hence they pay more for the types of girls they like in thier clubs.
Following on from the earlier advice I would also suggest you at least read Steve Naïve’s useful post to Manila, below, it may be one year old but it still gives an accurate reflection of the scene in Manila today. It provides all the information you require if you are too lazy to RTFF.

Cebu Local,
Been trying to reach AAI Travel's Jacky as you recommended, but she's not returning my e-mail. She doesn't answer her cell phone, and the business numbers you gave received no answer.
Any one with any other suggestion? I think I want to get the tickets purchased soon. So I can pay off the credit card bill before I leave on the trip.
What about your own company? Would you take my business?
I've sent you an e-mail too.
Thanks for your help.
Thai food is quantum leaps better, as is the infrastructure, the organization, the quality of city life and the exoticism. The girls are (in my opinion) pretty much of a toss up. On the other hand, the whole sex scene in the PI is less commercial (notwithstanding Burgos St. and its imitators) and it's much easier to meet non-professional women (okay maybe semi-pros) in the PI than in Thailand. I think that for foreign tourists, safety concerns in the Philippines are overblown and overstated, I've lived and worked in both countries, and I cannot see any real difference in the security of foreigners.
The bottom line is that if you're searching for a place where places of cultural interest are accessible, in addition to frequent sex with beautiful young women, then Thailand may be a better bet for you. If, on the other hand, you want a more laid back, less commercial scene (especially outside of Manila) and your primary motivation is sex, then the PI is a better bet perhaps.
Finally, it's unlikely that, without prior introduction, you're going to get invited into the home of a "real" Thai family, whereas in the Philippines, it's a relatively common occurance.
:D
GE
WHat is blindingly obvious to anyone whe has been to both countries is that in the Phillippines people do speak English and in Thailand they generally do not. Thailand is a far better place to take a vacation and if you are the type who prefers to point (at the ***** you want to screw) and be back in the room 15 minutes later....and get rid of her when you're spent, Thailand would be better.
If you want to make friends, or learn the name of the lady before you slip it in, or even hope to get invited into people's homes, or invited to parties, or chat with sweeties online before your arrival....the Philippines is far superior.
I will disagree with GE on one point, subjective as it may be....I think the Thai women are the most gorgeous in the world. Slender, high cheek bones, big mouths with big smiles, generous breasts (usually) and ....if you're really lucky, a naturally peach fuzzed crotch (of age of course!!!).
