Brazil does NOT have a high prevalence of HIV. It has had one of the world's best HIV/AIDS knowledge campaigns and one of the highest rates of free condoms for 15 years. The result is the HIV prevalence and incidence in 2007 is one of the world's lowest.

I was one of the tourists crowded along the route for the evening parade. Maybe 1/2 hour ahead of the parade, a group of pretty "Mädchen" (meninas in traditional German outfits) passed along the route handing out paper fans; they were printed by a major pharmacy, and on the back of each fan was an ad for Vitamin V under a taped-on condom.

So to the point- what is the meaning of STR versus LTR? I looked on the abbreviations and all it says is LTR = Long Term Relationship and STR = Short Term Relationship.

Is STR a "quickie" and LTR "all night", or is STR once and LTR a repeat customer (or spending several days with the same woman)?

Crudely, STR is 1-2 (or less) hours and LTR is all night or longer. Now, other may place the dividing line in a different place, but short and long is the essence of it.

I'd like to experience both the women and the sights of a place. I would like to find a nice looking woman with a good personality to act as tour guide and GF for a couple/few days. Maybe pay half up front and half when it is all over. Maybe an amateur?

Sure there are different ways to define short-term and long-term, but the key word is "relationship" which is not measured in hours or dollars.

A quick bedroom romp is not a relationship. It is probably a commercial transaction or maybe NSA fun. "No Strings Attached" explicitly disqualifies it as a relationship. A relationship is more complex and involved than just sex.

My definition (and what I see supported in many of the posts) of a "Short Term Relationship" is a couple of days, or one visit. So, the committment relies on two different things to keep the "relationship" afloat. That's why we care about others and not care to post pics of our P4P or freebie conquests, since there's little mental committment/appreciation there after the deed is done.
