Tropical Bar Reports

I have have never seen any bottle with missing label unless it come off from moister from humidity.

For those of you familiar with Tropical Bar, what do you think of weekdays / weeknights here? I will be coming to town on a Wednesday in September. Worth peeking in (day or night) or not bother?

TB is more like "Old Tijuana" than most of the other bars. By that I mean that the girls tend to sit in a line and wait for you to approach them, much like bars in other parts of Latin America. In between the strip shows, etc. , the customers can dance with the girls. That used to be the main draw, back in the day. You ask them to dance, you pay them $1 per dance. The rest is just like all the other places. Beer is always 2 x 1. My biggest complaint is that the music is ear-splittingly loud, making it difficult to talk, although the "new" section is quieter.

Don't take anybody's word for anything as subjective as whether or not some place is "worth seeing. " See for yourself and report back.

Since I'm there anyway, it wouldn't take much time to peek in and out. I will probably do that for Chicago and Chavelas as well so I could say I've been there. If I don't like anything there, I'll just quickly walk out, maybe not even bothering to stay for a drink.

I always thought it was because when you first walk in you see the row of chicas siting in the chairs and people may think that's weird. But it is a good place to hangout and drink 2 for 1 cervazas. But timing is the key sometimes the vibe is great and other times not so great.

I'd say "all" of the bars but you might see some that look unsafe. You never know when you are going to see something that you like. It will only take 30 seconds to get in and out of each of the smaller bars.

I'm probably one of the Americans that Hugo sees sticking their heads in and then leaving.

I got to Tropical every time I visit Tijuana. As soon as you start to know the place, it gets better. I got the room for the night at Rizo de Oro and the girls are not rushing, and the price is negotiable (I prefer to pay in pesos, because is cheaper than paying in dollars). The only bad thing about getting the room at Rizo de Oro is that girls from the other bars across the street or the alley don't like to come to Rizo de Oro. But still, Tropical got a good group of chicas and some of them provide great service without upselling.

But the chicas are funny. One pretty 20 year old refused to go up unless I give her $100. No negotiations! I almost gave up before offering 700 pesos and she got excited and off we went. The lesson is to not to assume that the chicas are finance majors.

He was parked at Chicago club parking lot, he offered me a ride back to my car witch I accepted. Got me back to my car pretty quick and I was home by 11.
