I had a trip in the real center of Taiwan, geographically speaking, which is Nantou.

Not too far from Ximen Road.
At worst, if you can't find the girls, you can always drink a tonic of fresh snake blood with Chinese wine. It's a rush!

Taiwan has become prosperous and relatively affluent over the years, and is not what it used to be as a place for quick and easy sex. Especially if you don't speak Mandarin or Taiwanese.
On the other hand, the Chinese food in Taiwan is superb, and the cultural opportunities are incomparable. The National Palace Museum in Waishangshi in Taipei has perhaps the best collection of Chinese museum pieces in the world, and the backstory of how they got there is fascinating.
