Women Campo brothel back home.

WILLEMSTAD -" A group of 22 women flew back to the Dominican Republic on Saturday.

They worked in the Campo Alegre brothel, which had to close its doors because of government corona measures. They could only leave after the intervention of the Dominican consulate. The consul arranged a charter to pick up the women.

Once the women arrived in the Dominican Republic they had to be quarantined in a special hotel as a measure against the coronavirus.

WILLEMSTAD. If it is up to the employees of the Campo Alegre, the Public Prosecution Service, and the Government should confiscate the brothel from the current owners and designate it as a quarantine shelter.

They have mentioned auctioning it but even in that case the current situation in the world makes these kinds of services very difficult if not impossible it's over. In the best case scenario I would say it will take a few years for it to reopen.

The Campo Alegre brothel is bankrupt.

Two other companies went to court on Tuesday to file for bankruptcy.

The judge agreed to that.

This includes a cleaning company that has not been paid since December.

There is also a tax debt of almost 7 million guilders.

Campo was founded 71 years ago on May 30,1949 by, among others, the Catholic Church.

Campo has been closed since March due to the corona crisis.

In addition to the 150 sex workers who work on a temporary basis.

One thing is for sure, there are already a few interested parties in taking over the facilities and working on a restart. It might take a few months but I'm sure the camp will be back running in less than the few years stated below.

Curacao is associated with the administration in the Netherlands and the Dutch tolerate prostitution if it is legal and regulated. WILLEMSTAD. The police received a report yesterday afternoon about a suspicious situation at the Campo Alegre brothel. When a patrol arrived there, a vehicle immediately drove away.

This was followed by a chase that ended at a school in Seru Papayá. Three men fled from the car and threw away a weapon. In the car, the police found several television sets that had been stolen from Campo Alegre.

Great vacation: during the day the beach mainly Mambo beach and in the evening a visit to Campo (sun, sea, sand and. Sex! I think that if these entrepreneurs from the Netherlands are opening Campo again it can be much better because they have experience how to run this kind of business from Amsterdam and the Netherlands where prostitution is legal.
