I am going to pass a month in Poblado in June, not because I would likely want to live in Poblado, but because I got a good deal on a monthly rental and want to see how I do passing a whole month away from my current home.

But the options you show are nice and the price is great. For me, spending that kind of money to buy a place would be reasonable, without any expectation of ever renting it out. I appreciate you sending along the videos. They both look nice and they are in the safer barios of Bello. It sure would be nice to be near the mall, to the bus state that takes you to Barbosa and other places, and to the hot chicas in Bello an in nearby barrios in Medellin. Let us know how it turn out. Maybe Ill PM you to inquire about the lawyer you found.

To be honest, it never occurred to me about buying an apartment in Medellin even though I've been going there 2-3 a times a year for the past 8 years. I'm not retiring anytime soon (just turned 40 this year), but after staying in Colombia for 3 months from Nov /2020-Feb /2021, I could definitely imagine myself living there full time. I have 2 passports so I can make use of 180 days each without needing a visa or becoming a tax resident. If all things go well, it'll just give me extra motivation to work harder and retire earlier.

I'll definitely keep you posted about how things turn out. At worst case, I'll still be in paradise for 2 months with or without succeeding in property purchase. And I'm not buying to get extra rental income because nobody fucking chicas in my place except for me haha.

I swear this happens to me too. I have sex with a pro once and its electric, then every time after doesn't quite match up. Its disappointing but I just came to the realization that each time will be different and satisfying in its own way even if its not as mind blowing or toe curling.

As far as grabbing pros or non pros have you guys ever just paid in USD?? Instead of COP?? My thought was maybe they would be more pleased seeing that USD. As Mr E said, most think in pesos, and their day to day life is in pesos, its the dumb Gringos that train them in dollars. If a chica quotes $ its already a red flag, whether you redirect or drop them is your call. But a gringo doing it is as dumb as it gets.

As the saying goes, I'd rather be lucky than good. The shutdown started the day after I left. I had a great three months but it was time to leave. I accomplished most of my goals, went to the mountaintop and saw the casa being built for Catgirl and I by her family. That was a great cross cultural experience that I will never forget, staying with her family in a small pueblo barely accessible by 4 WD that sustained itself by growing coffee on the mountainside.

My ranked line-up served me well during whatever curfews and quarantines came our way. Medellin is where my heart is and I am back in the states taking all the necessary steps to move there permanently. I assume most of us will be vaccinated by then.

The reality is that USD are totally worthless in Medellin, as nobody accepts them for payment and when exchanging them to Pesos at either a bank or exchange house the rate of exchange sucks. The higher end providers and non-pros, those with Passports who have travelled internationally are the ones that would be happy with USD, but there won't be many of them around that you will encounter.

A chica asked me to pay her in dollars once and she was willing to take a discount mainly because I did not want what she was selling and I told her I didn't have the pesos. If you are not giving her more than the standard exchange rate, what difference does it make? For convenience I use pesos of course, but this one time the chica was willing to take a discount for dollars and go down to Iberas and exchange them on the street, no skin off my nose. With that said, I pay in pesos and always negotiate in pesos. I really don't want to be calculating exchange rates and doing math for a sex encounter jajaja.
