My friend just returned from Pattaya and says the Thai beers cost in:
Soi 6 is 145 Baht.
Walking street is 100 baht.
Tree town and soi bukhao is 100 baht.
Let me know if this means that the girl prices will be the highest in Soi 6.
What are ST prices in the 3 areas?

Your friend probably mixed things up, I've never seen any bar charging 145 baht for a beer in soi 6.

My current top 3 gogo bars in Pattaya (necessarily subjective) :
1. **Kink* Still number one. I love the slightly wild but good-natured vibe and watching the customers, especially first-timers. They often look a bit dazed, which cracks me up. Drinks are a bit pricey, but I think they're worth it. Excellent interactions with the girls—they're really skilled.
2. **Shark* I really like the layout with three stages visible from almost any spot in the gogo. The central area for the girls to rest is a great touch, keeping them in sight and part of the vibe. The lighting is very well done. Lots of young girls, sometimes a bit shy. I enjoy watching their expressions when they check themselves in the mirrors. Their interactions are often friendly with smiles, though sometimes with a hint of annoyance when we make eye contact. The music is quite punchy, and they dance with energy and conviction. Decent crowd, including Koreans and / or Japanese, which is a sign of a good spot they likely found in a guide.
3. **XS and Chick* Tied for third. I think they're part of the same group. Not many customers, at least early in the evening, which is odd because there are lots of girls, and most of them are pretty stunning.

When I was younger I thought boozing up and acting a fool was cool. Now I know better, I'm maturing I guess. I'm there for one thing: to boom boom. The last thing I want is to sit in a bar buying booze for a chick, maybe 30 minutes ago she was barebacking another dude and drank his milk. I fully agree with you post! That's why I'm more looking forward to picking up freelancers at the beach road. No bar fine, talk with them, and if all is good, action Jackson time. Maybe some food or a drink at the local bar / restaurant.

So I just spent around 2 weeks in Pattaya, cut by 5 days up. In Udon Thani.
The place is still fun and I had a great time.
However it is low season and it's best one prepare for what is there:
Gogobars: no reductions in price despite low season, however it did seem as though you receive more attention from the girls.
Still, was quoted 8000 all in for long time in Walking street Gogo's. Around 6-7000 in LK metro.
What is immediately noticeable however is the drop in quality of looks in the Gogos in LK Metro from Walking street. Obvious.
Apps: Thai friendly and a premium subscription are your friends. Easily I was able to order about 3 short times for 1500 baht straight to my room. I will say however that this is not my preferred option as Service-wise the 20 year olds that arrived always would do something or not do something that would make the room less than satisfying: no kissing, no BJ without or simply be on their phone. No need to come to Thailand if it's no better than what you get at the Frankfurt red light district.
Nightclubs:
Walking street has continued it's decline to hosting not 1 but now three crappy Indian discos, which keeps them away from the main venue nightclubs: republic, insomnia / I-bar and myst.
Insomnia and ibar are as good as ever, with lots of soy 6 girls and freelancers showing up throughout the night that you can bang for a fair long time price.
What is new and fantastic is myth night which remains open and active and full after insomnia closes. You now essentially have a new last chance cafe of you are staying up this late.
For those that really hate nightclubs and so on, I would still recommend them and simply brute force them. Get a beer, do the rounds, smile, smile at every girl that strikes your fancy, approach with 'whats your name' and the usual. Pop the question. If nothing, smile, move on, repeat. Don't forget that this is not a real nightclub and these are not real pickups. You're just giving these girls the plausible deniability that they crave when doing what they do. (And many of these have a story lined up if they want to string you along. Pretend to believe it and move on)
Beer bars: I barfined at least 3 times from these bars however all. Of them seemed to be on soy 7. As for the rest, I saw the worst lineups I have ever seen, with myth night (the new made in Thailand complex) being the worst. Basically the usual shit of have your 8 girls: 1 lady boy, 5 middle aged and overweight and 1 or 2 20 year olds to lure you in, ignore you or simply blueball you once after the first drink they tell you that they only take drinks and don't take customers.
Protip: let the quality ones come to you after closing by heading to Candy Club in Tree town. Much better value for money, you can pick them up easily there, have a good time. And no need to run off to walking street.

There are some cheaper ones at the East end of Soy 6: 500 BF and 1. 5-2 K the girl, but mostly unfuckable. The ones on the beach, Soy 7 and 8 are old, fat or LBs.
At the first glance there are lots of pretty girls, very few mongerers, but prices for the good ones are too high, and you're not getting much in return.
Everybody is bragging about the quality and availability even in the PH forum, where I came from, but it seems to be a very well kept secret where to find them at a reasonable rate. It seems absurd to pay them half a month salary for 2 hours of work, the equivalent of paying 2000 $ for a hooker in US.

The ones in the bars can stay there and wait until the next mongering season comes, and fresh meat is coming from US, EU and K willing to pay the exacerbated BFs. Just bad business, no mongerers around, and they chase away the few ones that are walking on Soy 6 scaring them away with high prices, instead of adapting and taking their cash even if it is at a discounted rate, half the money is better than nothing.
