I read this discussion with interest and thought I'd shed some light onthe discussion. I can't comment about the relationship between Marie and Barbara, though my understanding is that they are friends despite the phycical similarities. One thing I can confirm though is that Marie is a lame shag while Barbara has a lot more talent. As for origins, Marie was born in Poland and lived in Germany for over 10 years before migrating to Australia.
