She came 30 min late, deal was fixed for 12 k few hours.

She arrived, we have a beer. Now she asked to pay to get started.

I paid with UPI.

5 min later, she received video call from her boy friend. BF starting asking why she's not at the PG blah blah, then and there she just stood up and walked out of the door.

Offcourse tg chat had disappeared.

I couldn't believe what happened and was really angry at my stupidity and deleted the SA and TG account.

Not sure what I could have done in this situation. Or how to avoid this advance payment scam?

[/QUOTE]Sorry this happened to you. If one is on SA long enough, you will invariably get scammed, so it helps to learn from each other's experience.

The most important thing I have learnt in my nearly 10 years on SA is never give an advance. In this case, pay only after the act is over. No genuine person will insist on advance. Walk away if they do.

I have given advances if we have been in a near exclusive relationship for some time (at least 5+ dates) and even then, I have been scammed half the time.

- The girls are less emotionally attached to you than you are to them.

- Even if it is long term relationship, you will be ditched for someone offering Rs 1000 more at the same time as your planned meet. If they better understood the value of assured cash over a long time, they would be like us, not 20 y.o kids.

- Girls are better networked than we are. Anyone who is successful brags about it to her friends and quotes the highest figure she has been offered.

- Don't chase someone who has ignored you, or gives arrogant vibes, it just increases her aukat and price.

- Asking for paid online before a relationship is a scam. Even if you want online, there are plenty of cam sites which are cheaper.

- Asking for a paid coffee meet is a scam. No genuine person has done it, I have met 100+ in unpaid 'meet & greet', before deciding.

In case individuals have transferred money to the wrong UPI ID, the first thing to do is to report the transaction to the customer service of applications such as Paytm, Google Pay, and PhonePe. The individual can also file a complaint at the NPCI portal through the Dispute Redressal Mechanism tab.
