I think this must have been a dream.

First I parked by the America Bridge (now. 50 to pass). The parking is 3. 00 per 8 hr this is 5 less that not so long ago. Walked over the bridge at about 1:00PM. The first thing I noticed is the army guys towards the end of the bridge with mean looking guns. These guys have never given me a second look. After I enter I notice many of the stores are closed. Still a few drug stores but over all less of every thing. Where all the clubs used to be to the right of the main drag are new well paved sidewalks and parking lots. Only in Juarez would they put new pavement where no one walks and leave the old pavement crumbling and dangerous. Stopped by a old favorite bar Felix the Cat on the left side of the street but to early to drink.

Stopped but the Cleo MP interesting but no. Asking 4. Then took a cab to the Lux area. Walked to Felinas, this was on the second floor behind the stairs. Saw one that was ok YMMV shower was not in room, age about 34. I just wanted to play and as I did not tip, no BBB but most else was ok. Asking 3 no tip. Good value. Then to Siluetas. Two fake blonds and a third all nice. 3 aksed so I went with the larger blond. Shower in room. Better overall. Tipped 20 for the heck of it.

Then I walked two blocks south to the older Eduardo's the name changed to a* something, but the place looked the same. I wondered about the Santa Fe bar across the street, but action at these places doesn't really get doing till dark and I'm Cinderella not bar hopping at night. So I waked back to Luxor and it looked like someone had bombed the place. Some guy was sweeping the rubble out from sidewalk in front of the doors. And only 5 or so feet in front of the Luxor door looked like a cleared sidewalk. I looked in the door and saw two ugly guys lazying it on the couch and maybe a MP worker or two. Not worth going in at this point.

Then as I started to walk I realized my problem. I had no Mexican Pesos for the Buses and really have never used then. So I started walking and trying to flag a cab. Man it was hot. But I ended up walking back to the man drag myself. No issues with any one, but hot. If their is a next time like tomorrow I may rent the cabby for two to three hours for maybe 25 and call it a day on transportation has anyone done that. Sad to say the the wonderful steak house just as you cross the bridge into Jaurez on the right is only open as a bar after 9:00. I talked to the chief worked and he said the place may reopen with food in 30 60 days. For food the city Market is recommended. Where is the city market? Any one know.

Finally I found that if you are a US citizen you don't need a passport, but you will wait in longer lines to get out if you forgot yours as I did. They recommend a drivers license and a social security number. And that you have had a PP at some point.

Once again, please be advised that the girl I was with, a total of five times, and damn, she's apparently gone now, is NOT the same girl that Jrzmong's photo shows.

If you don't have pocket change, just pay them a dollar. And you pay, when you get off the bus, not when you board. Ride the bus one time, and you'll get the hang of it.

Yeah I agree with coyote 79, the safest trip is the quickest trip. Just go in and out and take care of business as quick as possible. Right now juarez is experiencing a war between the sinaloa cartel vs the juarez cartel, the gente nueva vs la linea, asesinas artistas and los mexicles vs los aztecas, and now the two factions of police are fighting between the federal police and the municipal police. The federal police have already tried to kill the police chief of juarez, julian leyzaola. WTF! So there are all kinds of wars happening in juarez now. Not to mention the express kidnappings that are happening all over juarez. There are over 1, 000 kidnapping cells in juarez. So be careful.
