I think Thermae still have some hot options. It was a Sunday night at the end of March and decided to give a visit to Thermae. It was not that crowded, but still it was full. As usual, had a beer and then started walking around. Walk is fun as many would try to pull you while some will definitely turn away. After two rounds, some were calling and others not locking the eyes, got one easy going but looks mature. Initial she was not coming down from 3500, but later accepted 3000. So took her out the room on a taxi. She wanted to buy dinner on the way, but it was pretty late by then. So it might be an issue as she immediately went to the washroom to get ready without any chit chat. The body was really nice and smooth, and had a good rack. I was quite the frequent patron in Thermae from 99 till 07. Would say I was there about 3 nights a week on average. We'd sit at one of the tables in the back and Somchai would bring me a black so and the fun would begin. Perhaps the most amazing cast of characters in Bangkok. He looked like a perfect meld of Walter Matthau and Alfred Hitchcock. He'd walk up to or sit down with gals and put four finger right up in their face indicating that 400 Baht was his top dollar. On many nights about 11:30 two French dudes would walk in. They both sported the most amazing mullets. One was Curly Mullet and the other was French Wig Mullet Guy. They rarely took gals, but would stand, drink, gawk, and be incredibly French. On occasion the Man with the Small Head would come in. And for some reason, that always foretold a very good night. There was the midget German dude who wore an orange jumpsuit. Tiny little guy who was dressed like he was on a road work crew. The Chicken Wing women (a very old lady who used to be at Thermae every night and broke a tooth on a chicken wing, hence the moniker) once told us she went with him and all he wanted to do was put on a glove and play with her "backside. " And "Him give 200 Baht. " There was the deaf lady that gave massages we nicknamed Jo-Ann, don't ask me why. In addition the gals of Thermae were incredibly fun and interactive. At least half had a drink in their hand. As you would walk past they would grab your crotch, "go with you," " I want to F you," was always heard. There was music playing as well. Sometime it was the gals choice as they would put money in the juke box or if not background music was always heard. Often I'd ask a gal one question before taking her, "Khun mi luuk man?" And if the answer was no, we were off. Many times I didn't even ask her name, might get it after or might not. Price was never really an issue, you paid 1 k and everyone was happy. I met quite a few people that I am still friends with in Thermae in the early 00's. Many of the SE Asian authors used to hang out there and I got to know a few of them. Everyone made it to Thermae.

All of that changed as Asians began to outnumber farangs in the place. The entire aura of the place went from one of partying and fun to what you have today. I don't even know what to call it. Yes, it is still a bit of a freak show at times, if you go on the right night you might even get a glimpse of the Japanese Steven Tyler (and the Steven Tyleresue hair is certainly a wig), but it just doesn't in any way feel the same. It also puts me in a very vile mood to see gals rejecting dudes because they are not Asian. Just don't need that.

Where do you go for fun with gals in BKK? Well, for me there really is no place. I guess Dollhouse on a good night would be the closest to what a GoGo was like back in the day. When I want a session, I go to an oily. When I want to hang out with my friends, I go to a bar with good beer. I go to GoGos about once or twice a year when friends are in town, that's it. I just don't find anything about the scene much "fun" these days.

However, I thought of Thermae as much more down market back then than I do now. It was not a favorite of mine simply because I liked the gogo's better (still do). Back then, Long Gun at Soi Cowboy absolutely rocked so I didn't get to Thermae too often. I think the girls at Thermae were wilder and sluttier back then, but I think there are girls there now who are actually more attractive. Don't get me wrong, there were some stunners back then too, but these days I kind of like the same look that the japanese guys like so the chicks making themselves up to attract japanese guys are attractive in my opinion. 400 Baht! Wow. Was that for ST or LT? That was like the price in 1991 although in 1991,400 to 500 Baht could get you all night most likely with a bargirl. In the early 2000s, I had a Thai GF very jealous type, so I had no opportunity to use Thermae any more at all. May have got in some Long Gun visits though. Early one morning, I was sitting on one side of the huge, dark booths with three ugly sisters. They seem unresponsive and cool. After 15 minutes or so, they left to my relief. As stated, I got to know many of the farang se Asian based authors, journalists, etc. Gals were a mixed bag as well. Far more part-timers looking to supplement their office income a few days a month. It was really amazing the weekend before rent was due. On a few occasions I had gals drive me to the PB hotel in their cars.

Also when it stayed open till 5 am, GoGo gals who didn't get a BF or just had a short time would show up. Nana Disco closed at 2 am so by 230 or so thermae was packed. I had some of my best looking FLs there and some of my best experiences.
