I know the title itself will make you scream 'RTFR'. Well, i have gone back 8-10 pages and all that i find is that there is a lot of info on sponsoring and their approx costs. You see, i have to come to Kiev in the 3rd week of January for 5 days and want to know what kind of temperatures should i expect and most of all do the cold temperatures limit our hobby of mongering? Will it be harder to find ladies in clubs? From the previous FR's (up to 10 pages back) all i know is that River palace (or RP as it is commonly known) is the only place to find ladies. Would anyone be able to tell me where in the city is the right place to stay so that i can go to a few venues in a single night and more importantly which places besides RP should i plan on visiting.

I do not have a bottom less wallet but am not stingy either.

If there are any such reports that are already made by someone, that just a link to those will suffice.

At last, I read some reports closer to reality in Kiev: Kiev is not an easy mongering place anymore.

For beginners: everything and everybody that speaks English in former Soviet Union, this means expensive and bad services for foreigners.

Who may concern, I could provide some mongering lessons for beginners.

alconizer is right, kiev is no longer an easy monger spot - perhaps it was a few years ago, but after 2004 or so, the good days ended (I never experienced them, but did experience Russia in those days).

Thing about Ukraine, and Ukrainians, even with total economic meltdown (griven now at 8 per dollar), they are so proud and stubborn that they have it ingrained in their heads that they are stars after having had a few years of good times.

It will take a long, long time of economic depression for that stardome perception to ware off, if ever.

Personally, I'm bailing on Ukraine for at least a year. Will rethink after that.

I can't mind off the top of my head. I came across a old magazine in our rented app and the back page had a list of working girls in the area.

The best thing to do, is go down to Independence Square and check out some of the news agents, I'am almost 99% sure the magazine was in English.

The going rate was $100 and she came round to the app and was there for 4 hour or so, but that was well over a year ago. Prices might have went up now but I'am not sure.

They are smart just like apartment owners / brokers. Now you see 'ads' for a flat quoted in $USD in the title. $400. In the text they say pay in grivna 4000! Ha

Prices are still generally quoted in grivna which is a major plus for all of us right now. This has almost halved the cost and may well drop further.

I know the notorious agency Gia quotes in dollars (and uses a 6 grivna exchange rate if you are paying in grivna).

I certainly hope that no one else or at worst very few others quote in dollars or euros since that would then have the undesired effect of raising prices.

I have never, never, never found girls, in mamba sites, quoting their services in grivnas, everybody always wants dollars, or some too sly people want euros!

Your problem, among the many that we see, is that you write in "English" and get quoted in dollars. I write and converse in Russian.The ladies think I am local and I get grivna prices.

Anyways, the Hrivna is becoming again stonger! 8. 5 HVN to 1 $ a week ago. 7. 5 HVn to 1 $ today.

In a week or 2 the exchange rate will be again 5 HVN to 1 $ like it was before!

The mickey mouse dollar is also much weaker against the euro again!

The dollar is too unreliable and volatile to think about a favorable exchange rate on a long term basis!

Depending on which news (positive or negative) comes out of Wall Street the rollercoaster-yoyo dollar goes up and down. Right Now, it happens to be that it is a stonger against the hrivna, but, only RIGHT NOW!

The fundamentals are that the US economy is accumulating the biggest foreign Debt in history in order to: 1)keep a war going in Irak and Afghanistan

2) bailing out all the bankrupt banks 3)Bailing out the Auto industry 4)paying out social benefits to the masses of american unemployed.

The currency of a country reflects the health of the economy of that country. So, how do you expect the $ to remain strong?
