In 5 months of dating my girl I have not spent much over 3000 baht. And that is only because I took her to The Glass House restaurant one time and I myself ordered a bunch of bullshit.

I am of Indian origin but living in United States. Came to US as a teenager and live here. Work here. Pay taxes here. Looking forward to my first Thailand trip next year and probably will stick to Bangkok for my very first international mongering trip, but eventually I will find my way to Pattaya, Phuket, Chaing Mai etc.

Yes, Indians can be sometimes stingy with their money. It's a hustle culture. What can I say. In India you haggle and negotiate everything. As a young lad growing up I remember my mom and grandma and aunt haggling with street vendors. It's expected. Its ingrained in you from a very young age not to pay the sticker prices and everyone is out there is out to get you. LOL. The prices are artificially elevated in Indian economy as a little bit of negotiation is expected.

As far as being a chubby chaser. Well. I don't like obese women but a little bit of meat on the bones doesn't hurt. I like them skinny too but not to the extent that they look emaciated.

Indian men are notorious among the Thais for being cheap, particularly with not tipping massage girls. They also always hang out in packs of five or six and it's not unheard of for one individual to negotiate a price for a Thai hooker and after insist that the price is for him and his friends. They'll do the same for a ten baht bus ride. There is a reason that Indian people opened their own clubs on Walking Street and elsewhere. Bouncers would not admit them to most other places for the reasons above and for pure racism.

Look around and you'll see the above characteristics are not exceptions but the rule for the majority of Indians' behavior in Pattaya.

So how would an engineer approach soi 6? Because the goal is to not be overwhelmed; to be underwhelmed. You make your first pass only looking at the girls in the street.

Do not look inside the bars on this first pass! Concentrate with this first pass of identifying juicer girls. Many of them are. Many of them probably get some sort of.

Compensation for being a greeter / door girl / eye candy. Many of the girls in the street are above average quality. Should you ask the girl you like in the street if she barfines?

I have been a customer behind someone and literally paid 1/3 of what they did.

Visited Pattaya last year briefly. Decided to spend 10 days this year. I am too vanilla, I only do light actions and massage, no full service, but this site has been of great help to me. Hope I can pay back. Will write my report over 2 posts.

There are rooms right above the bar for 500, making it very convenient. The girl was lovely, but appeared a bit inexperienced. I still had a good time. Money paid for the night 7500 baht, higher than my expectation but appeared to be the ongoing rate in WS.

Day 2:

Last year, I went to Kinnaree and had a good time. Decided to go again; they open early so went around 1 pm. It's a 10 minutes ride from Pattaya beach, and cost 70 baht on Bolt. The atmosphere there is very relaxed, but without any dancing. Girls are friendly and not pushy at all. I spotted this girl that I met last year. She remembered me and greeted me with a hug. She's around mid thirties, slim with nice boobs, long hair and a cute face. I bought her a drink, and we chatted for over an hour. Lady drink there is around 150, much lower than WS. We then went to the room, with a rent of 350. The girl was very energetic in the room, a devil in the sheets. She jumped over me with full on kissing all over, very passionately. I loved it. Her rate is only 1500 baht. Had a great time, and spent 2000 baht for the day, considerably lower than WS.

Day 3:

Decide to go for a massage place. Went to the high end ones, Honey 2 and Sabai Dee, but wasn't impressed. Girls in the fish bowl ok but nothing special, and prices up to 5-6 k for some. Very few clients, so all girls waiving for me. Walked out. My hotel was very close to second street, so walking there, went past several massage shops where the girls stand outside. One caught my eyes, it's called Charee massage. Several beautiful girls standing outside wearing an elegant light brown uniform. I felt more is on offer once inside. There is a branch right next to 711 between soi 7 and 8, and another not too far, further up the street towards soi 6. Went there, and a gorgeous girl grabbed me from the hand. Tall, curvy body, pretty face and very long hair. Went inside with her and opted for a full body aroma oil massage for 400 baht. Massage was in a small room on a mattress on the floor. Started with a back and leg massage, which was excellent. On the turn, she wasted not time and offered a special. Price was 1000 baht for pretty much anything bar sex; body to body, kissing, touching, sucking, BJ. She removed her robe revealing a marvelous body, and the fun started. I actually came very quickly, really liking the girl. Price is under 1500 baht, that's not even 35 when it costs at least 120 in London.

Day 4:

Decided to go to a gogo bar, but this time I went to LK Metro, hoping the prices are lower than WS. Went to Kink, and the bar fine there is 1000 baht, but only spotted a single hot girl. Tried Destiny, a few beautiful girls there, and no pressure to buy drinks. Took my time until I spotted this knockout, very curvy body similar to Brazilians, attractive face and long hair. Called her for a drink, she was lovely. Asked for bar fine, it was 1200 the basic rate, but hers was 1800 as she's classified as a "supermodel", which I wouldn't debate. Her rate was 4000 for short time, which is too high. I told her I don't need a full service, only some teasing, kissing and BJ. Apparently, she had many customers asking for this and she asked for 2000 only, so I went for it. Destiny has rooms in their hotel above for 500, so we went there. I had a great time, the girl is too hot and didn't rush me. We were like lovers, kissing, cuddling with the bodies tangling. Weather was great, enjoyed the day, swimming, sun bathing, drinking coconut juice, walking by the beach. In the evening, went to a bar to watch a Liverpool game with a beautiful bar girl. Only issue, she's a Man United fan, but it won't take it against her.

Total money spent on first 5 days: 15,500 baht. Not bad.

The first thing I tell all my friends who are even normal tourists who are coming to Thailand is to negotiate for everything that is not food or in a big department store. If you are a monger and you take the first price because you are afraid to negotiate for pussy then that is on you.

The 'you buy me drink' every 5 minute places just make want to move on so I'll definitely give Kannaree a go and a few other more chilled places that people have kindly mentioned on here.

I always hire a motorbike wherever I am in Thailand, I don't worry about staying near to where I'm staying, makes life nice and easy to get to / from wherever, especially those out of area places.

I'm (some would say stupidly) less worried about riding back in shorts, t shirt and an awful helmet after beers than I am BB a beach road or Soi Nana princess.
