I went to the bar opposite Babydoll, up a small flight of stairs. There was a 200 baht cover charge that included 1 drink. There were 3 stages. The first had 2 panty clad girls dancing, the next a soap show, and on the back bed type area there was a totally naked girl. No sex show or other show. I only stayed about 15~20 minutes. Not recommended.

I have never been asked to pay a cover charge in any bar or go go in Pattaya.

The "official story" is of course crap. One of the people commenting below the second article said pretty much exactly what I suspect happened (below)...I suspect several girls got together in a scheme against him. That said, it was a pretty obvious risk he was taking from the git go, and the drugs and weapon are just insane.

More relevantly, how do people these days feel about the risks of photoing/filming (for totally private use)?

Same for me. I'm not so interested in shows so Im not a specialist. I just followed some friends. I went to babydoll, to another place with two floors (nothing on second floor), with girls licking each other in a bath, etc... and another bar with a bath at the end with a girl allowing you to put your finger up it, etc... I don't remember the names.

I will be visiting again for about 7-8 days after Songkran has finished, Songkran is ok once only then never again. Any members wants to meet up for a few beers and a tour round town let me know.

Don't trust David2 - I took up his offer last month, and for my 1500Bt he sent me a small plastic container of beer. Same thing happened when I sent him another 1500Bht last week.
