Mexicoach (Red & White) and others border bus & van service via bus lane
Yes, they do have a single bus lane for border crossing and Mexicoach is one of them that provides this service. The crossing time varies depending on the number of buses, it can be anywhere from 15 minutes to an hours plus in the worst case. Mexicoach has a $8 fare in 2010 for border crossing.
Once, I took the socalled "Mexicoach", or something like this. Does this bypass the line? If so, it's quite useful, I think it cost hardly 5 US$.
Help out a newbie? I'm working my way westward.
I've played in Nuevo Loredo, Nogales, Los Alogones, and Mexicali. I'm considering working my way to Tijuana. I started to read this 307 page forum and my eyes are about to pop out of my head.
Would anyone like to give me a quick summary or just answer a few questions?
1. Which road takes me into the heart of the fun? I assume it's Interstate 5.
2."Zona Norte" seems to be the fun zone. Is it walking distance from the Port of Entry?
3. Is there an overnight parking lot close to the POE on the US side?
4. If I fly in, which airport should I fly to?
5. As a first timer to Tijuana, where should I go 1st. 2nd, and 3rd? It will probably be a 2 evening trip.
6. Which is the best days to go? I'm sure the weekends will fetch the best selection but prices are higher, right?
7. Going rate at the clubs, parlors, and street?
8. As of today, anyone crazy cartel action? Will I come out alive?
Thanks in advance!
