No I think those are yobs or chavs, aren't they? I think 'Eurotrash' means a certain sort of slick, greasy, cologned Continental who one often finds in discos and whatnot.

Cannot imagine he meant the true definition of 'eurotrash'. Do you find many 'slick, greasy, cologned Continentals' in Pattaya? Maybe you do but its not their normal habitat. Chavs are Burberry'd, blinged, Essex sink estate yobbo's so I think yobs is his more likely meaning. Except Yob (backward boy) is a uniquely British word which he probably doesn't use. Its nearest American equivalent is likely to be 'trailer trash'. Maybe that is the word he meant to use but didn't want to imply that low class Americans frequent Pattaya (God forbid!!).

Okay ...... Let's start from the top .....
"Loud" - nope, not me, I think
"Belching" - yep, can't help it, it's the beer mostly, but I do think I'm discrete about it

Despite all the above logical argument, I don't consider myself Eurotrash but I do empathise with the intent of the definition. Maybe needs something in there about Union Flag shorts and sleeveless T if being applied to Brits only.
There is stuff I could say following my last visit to Pattaya regarding observations of the tourist milieu but I would not like to be drawn into comments about nationalities or the like. But, there are some predominant expat nationalities in Pattaya that do push my personal levels of tolerance.
Nuff said as far as I'm concerned.

I don't have a definitation for Euro Trash. I just know it when I see it.
I use to see a lot of it in Russia and East Europe. What I describe as newly rich, wearing cheap clothes, rude, with no class, taste, education or manners. Just money to throw around demanding service and treating people like servants.
That's just my opinion, others are welcome.
BTW, we have a similiar class of people in the U.S. My family was usually referred to "white trash" because we took the wheels off our house every time we had to move, had perfectly good cars up on blocks in the front yard and major appliances on the front porch.

My wife thinks "Euro Trash" means people who can afford to vacation in Thailand, but can't afford to go to the dentist.

See my previous post. I think I figured that out already. Being upper trailer trash (we had a double wide) I am a "better" and that's why I subconsciously don't like Pattaya.

I've seen all the types described below, (most of whom behave themselves and seem to congragate in their own Pattaya enclaves), but I'm ashamed to say that the ones who offend and irritate the most are not "Euro-trash," but rather the young American Navy servicemen on the USS Abraham Lincoln who invaded Pattaya on shore leave recently.
These assholes were loud, cocky, aggressive, and obnoxious to the point where I decided to prematurly leave the bar shortly after they swaggered in. I hate it when drunken clowns jump up on the stage to dance wildly with the girls, grabbing them; acting like they are god's gift to women and that the audience appreciates their 'talents.' I don't think the girls like it much either.
Thankfully, the ship has since sailed and the fools departed.
