In the Boca Chica Dominican Republic thread they are talking about the Venezuelans charging more than the Dominicans and Haitians, but in Cartegena they are undercutting the Colombians. But I guess in Colombia they pretty much look the same as the Colombians so they need a leg up, whereas in the Dominican Republic they may be seen as a novelty.

If anybody cares: On November 17 I withdrew 2,000,000 pesos at the Citibank ATM and the conversion was done at 3099 pesos / dollar. Citibank charges a flat add on fee of $5. 00 US. Next month I will pick up my new TD BANK online account card. Like the Schwab card the international fees will be rebated at the end of the month and there will be NO conversion charges. (Bank of America charged me approx. $17.00 for the previously mentioned transaction.).

Has anyone tried using a prepaid travel cash card like Travelex Master Card in Colombia? Do they work in Colombia to withdraw money in COP from ATMs? The Travelex MasterCard have chips. I believe the Visa Prepaid cards do not have chips. Or does anyone know of any other prepaid cash cards that can be used in Colombia? This card is to avoid bringing too much cash in hand while travelling and not using your regular bank ATM cards for security purposes. I know people have mentioned about Citibank and Charles Schwab on this forum. But wondering if anyone has tried using a prepaid card.

There are a few massage parlors in the area, the one with all the ads, Attraction Spa doesn't seem to have any good reviews.

There are several decent cheap hotels in the area.

No. I would never call a woman a puta, except under extreme circumstances. I believe every woman has the right to set her own boundaries. I would refer to the guy who assumed she was a puta, an asshole, but that's just me.

We were way out of the tourist track in a smaller city when we sat down to have some food and some beer. Then out of the dark came to stunners and sat down next to us, and it didn't take long time before they smiled at us when they saw our look to their side. We went over to their table after finishing the food and asked if they wanted something to drink. After the obligatory small talk my wingman said (since I spoke Portuguese) ask if they are putas I denied but after he insisted long enough I agreed to do it and the response was as expected. But the point is, it changed the good vibes for a while and it's not worth doing it (and also it is to disrespect them).
