Like you, although much older, I first experimented with vitamins V and C out of curiosity, not necessity, and with a view towards marathoning - although even without I am generally good for an hour or three (exercising some fire discipline).

I found C more subtle than V, which the first few times perceptibly raised blood pressure, blocked nasal passages, created significant eye orbital pressure and generally created the impression that Niagara Falls was running through my head. On the plus side, both resulted in enormous increases in stamina enabling hours of absolutely iron rod performance and multiple pops with little or no down time in between; in fact I run out of juice long before losing altitude (which has motivated me to look into fueling strategies, too), even going for up to six/seven hours. Also, once you're adapted, the side effects of V seem to diminish almost completely - which is good, as nowadays it's the only vitamin that seems to be readily available without benefit of clergy. As Carmex noted, you probably need only half of a 100mg tab to start, which also will dramatically lessen the side effects without any discernible reduction in other benefits (except perhaps the morning after hard-on, which may or may not be a benefit).

No problem finishing as a result of vitamins; that seems to be more of a "psychological" issue, i.e., for me the attractiveness of the SP, absnce of mood killers, e.g., SP whingeing and/or wheedling; but beware whiskey dick syndrome - the sauce may counteract the effects of vitamins and interfere with producing the cluds and the rain.
