Thats a big Thai thing, dropping prices to get more business just isn't a concept that is prevalent in Thailand (or SE Asia). Air fare works similarly. When one airline raise price, other airlines will follow. You should not have problem finding more examples.
If you look at Smooci, it has a much wider range of prices. Inside Thermae, the flexibility is often in the form of services provided. The less desirable ones usually offer more or better services, and will be more flexible. The prices are also more flexible outside Thermae, LB or not, also when they make deal outside after closing time.
I am pretty sure one will see price lowered if the girls are like stocked merchandise that has an associated capital cost.
I don't disagree with members who say there is no free market. That is one perspective but that also means US is not a free market. That is not the definition some other members used here so we are really discussing two different things that happen to have the same name.

It had too many lady boys, and not enough pretty REAL girls. Busy as all hell due to that big market in the middle of it and around it, lots of tourists. The ping pong shows had women that are over 50 years old doing the shows. It sounds like it has changed drastically if you are saying there is a laid back atmosphere there. In the past, that place was far from laid back.

I have been to Phat Phong again a few times, also with Natty. There are signs of improvement. Some bars were still a bit over rated, like Bada Bing, Electric Blue (I think as the name) and Black Pagoda. Some bars still had a lot of surgeries. However good signs of improvement, so that definitely an option, in the Kings Castle group.
One day sitting with Natty, the girl I liked happened to be same girl I had previously fucked in Twisters at Nana. Took me a few minutes to realise I knew her already. So that means the girls were not especially superior to my taste but competitive, and fine for those less fussy about "enhanced girls".
