I'm starting to look into where to go for my next long-term (3-4 months) mongering trip. I'm doing some research on different countries here on the ISG and there seems to be a recurring theme that keeps popping up in many different threads; I keep reading statements such as "_________ is dead as a mongering destination" or "________ isn't what it used to be" or my favorite _________ has changed for the worst". Reading over these threads is making me think that something is going on out there that is affecting mongering scenes all over the world. I'm not sure what exactly is going on to cause this, though. Lets take a look at some examples I've been thinking about. These are countries I've both been to and haven't yet visited:

1. Brasil: Help disco was shut down, prices are way, way up compared to just 7-8 years ago, and guys are writing about getting covered BJs now. Sounds like the officials cracked down on mongering in Fortaleza.

2. Singapore: Had a fantastic street scene just two years ago, the police there have arrested and deported the girls working the streets. Service in the legal houses can often be a sterile experience, with everything covered. Expensive, too.

3. The Philippines: A fine destination if you're looking for a GF or a wife, but as a point and click mongering destination, it's not that good. Scams abound, trike drivers are assholes, and general fourth-world infrastructure add to the problems.

4. Mexico: Probably was a good mongering destination 50 years ago, but now too many gringos and too much violence. Prices can be expensive too, unless you only bang street girls. Mexico City is super expensive.

5. South Korea: Where I am now. Like Mexico, this place was a mognering paradise many years ago (so I've heard) but now it's not good at all. Way, way too expensve, and xenephobic chicks that can't take dick bigger than 3 inches.

6. Costa Rica: I haven't been here, but it sounds terrible. $100 for ST?? Overrun with gringos like Mexico I guess.

7. Cambodia: Haven't been here either, but from reading the board I guess the NGOs have taken over the country. That will kill any mongering scene.

8. Thailand: I was going to go here a few weeks ago, I had my ticket, condoms, lube, hard-on, everything was packed and ready to go. Then it happend. A fucking civil war breaks out in Bangkok. Decided to cancel. No idea if this will change the scene there.

So, what do you guys think. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on out there; what's causing all this. Or am I just being paranoid?

I myself have totally changed my style of posting... I used to be one of those 'excellent' posters who gave detailed information with addresses and phone numbers and everything... I stopped doing that long ago, why, because many of the LURKERS who are one here among others, take this information and fuck everybody else's shit up....

I life and work in Colombia, I make the local currency and I'm in the trenches with the broke-ass locals here. People come down here and totally fuck up the market with their stupidity, often paying triple or quadruple. I've seen prices on the cheaper hotels and motels SOAR, now if i wanna have a party with a few friends at my preferred spot I have to pay more than double. Even the taxis are getting more and more greedy, always trying to get an extra 1000 or 2000 pesos out of some stupid cheap 10 minute fare. People who read this forum are not 100% of the problem but they are a much bigger part of it than one would think at first.

That's not the only class of stupid behavior people on here engage in on a regular basis. People ratting out this site to WGs who then find their photo on here, fighting over girls' affections like as if they were in junior high, using the site to STALK and BLACKMAIL WGs (I am a PERSONAL witness to this digsuting behavior on more than one occasion), the list could go on. In short, giving too much detailed information is like casting pearls before swine. Not to mention in areas like NYC, LE totally reads the board, and the moment any specific info about anything good goes up there, it's shut down....

So there is that factor. The P4P scene continues to be great in Bogota, but I for one will make sure it STAYS great by not letting people kill the goose that lays the golden egg. Have a nice day everybody!

I agree but I feel like an Ahole if I don't contribute. I've had too much help from this forum over the years not to give back. It just wouldn't be right.

What members need to do is READ and follow directions. There are some really schooled mongers on this forum that can HELP you if you let them.

The price police is real. Get used to it. It's the only way to keep the game in check. If you can't relate to that then you need to go back and READ the forum again.

Your mongering affects other people's mongering. Plain and simple.

I'm a retired navy guy with 27 years of service. Mongering mostly in Asia, Middle East, and Africa. I have been to Brazil a couple of times and really liked it. Other places on that side were Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Trinidad. Let me give you my two cents:

Brazil: Love the place and the women, especially the passion, but I also think prices are getting out of control, as well as the crime. Love the Thermas!

Singapore: Been in and out of that place since 1978. It has always been expensive and the scene seems to change every 3 years or so.

PI: How I loved this place until the volcano destroyed the bases and the Navy was shoved out. Trike drivers have been assholes since I remember in 1978. Nothing has changed there. Manila used to be a good mongering area, but now it seems AC is the best spot. Still I think this is a good spot.

Mexico: I just started discovering Tijuana (live in san Diego), and the scene is hot. Street girls for $20 and bar/club girls for 50/60. Still a great bargain. I go down there every two weeks for scheduled maintenance.

South Korea: I have not been since 1991, and that was in Pohang and Busan. I did find some bargains during that time. Every bar smells like fucking kimchi!

Costa Rica: I was there just last month, and I agree, the girls are asking way too much, usually $100. But most will come down to 60, and the MPs are affordable. So it might be worth a trip out for you. The Sportsman Lodge has a good scene going.

Cambodia: Haven't been there either and really have no desire to.

Thailand: Pattaya is still the number one mongering spot in the world (IMHO). 25-30K women in the same area, great food, decent beaches. Oh my. My first trip was in 1978, and I keep returning. Will be there in August for 2 weeks. Still the best bang for the buck!

I will also travel to the Dominican Republic this November. Read too many good things not to go!

My guess (at a ~30,000 foot level) is that two main factors are at work here:

1. Prices go up as demand goes up. More men discover this hobby and partake, so the girls think they can get away with charging higher prices. Men who don't do their homework (i.e. read this and other boards [i]before[/i] their trip) and who don't enforce the pricing structure by walking away exacerbate the trend. Nevertheless (and this is the key point): demand increasing faster than supply will always drive prices up, dumb Gringos or not.

2. Supply is not keeping up. It's good money, particularly relative to some other options available to women in a number of these countries. Nevertheless, in most societies I know of there is a stigma attached to participants and to women worse than men. So, it's a relatively larger risk to them to participate (outed on the street, outed at work, outed on the internet, etc.) as the activity becomes more omnipresent. As a result, there are not as many women to service an ever-increasing number of men.

You mentioned increasing violence and chaos in a number of places which I would assume are still feeling the effects of the most recent global recession. Again, a 30K ft. view.

My 2¢, take it for what it's worth.
