Minions
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTYED8bmn/
WTF are they talking about here? What $20? And who ever knew they called them minions LOL.
Didn't watch the video but last week they had a few videos going around showing how the traffic guys were letting people cut in line if they got paid. It went viral and the papers made a big deal about it. So the mayor pulled them from the job immediately until he could come up with a better solution. Now they made it clear that if your caught trying to cut in line you can get fined and have your car towed.
They've referred to the traffic guys as "minions" for awhile.
Looks like recently policias are checking more cars but shaking down less?
I sure hope their bosses put the fear into them to do real police work, prevent crimes, protect but stop fucking with people for bribes.
I always try to get even with assholes who fuck with me. Always! Hope that helps bring peace, fairness, prosperity and happiness to all.
In Tijuana I always take a Hong Kong limo from the border to the club and back. The limo driver said that the Tijuana police never stop them to check passengers.

Robber with Badges
Hong Kong has been paying off everyone with any authority in Tijuana for decades.
They would rat out any policia hassling their business.
I was stopped by the police again, yesterday, walking to Pepe's parking lot. I'm actually getting quite friendly with the police. I think we are on a first name basis, at this point.
I literally told them, "Do you think I can walk this pathway without being stopped by the police just once?" To which the guy, who seemed a little surprised, replied, "It's your face. ".
Ok man whatever.
Anyway they made it quicker than usual this time. So far, they have just been checking for drugs. No funny business. Yet.
But yeah, I'm usually going back in the early morning hours and walking by myself. I might as well paint a giant bull's eye on my back so they can see me better.
You might try looking ahead at least 75 feet when walking anywhere. IME the military ccamo soldiers ask for ID and do not steal, the municipal cops black and whites often don't ask for ID and search and steal.

It doesn't seem to matter.
I've actually never been stopped by the "camo" guys. They don't seem to be much interested in stop and search. I don't even worry about those guys. It's always the municipal cops.

National Guard Soldiers
I thought that I would put my report here also. Seems like the appropriate place.
I'm in Tijuana now and notice that last night (Saturday Night) the National Guard soldiers walking on patrol were randomly stopping people and searching them. They would just walk down the street and stop and frisk people. I seen this no less than 5 times in Zona Norte last night. A more notable stop was when I went to the OXXO on Coahuila across the street from Hong Kong Club. When I went in the store to get beer a group of English speaking Gringos were in front of me in line. They left and I paid for my beer. When I stepped outside the store all of those guys were up against the wall with their hands up being searched by the National Guard soldiers.
Guys beware of this because it's happening more than I have ever seen it in the past. Seems like they are more engaged on the streets than the Municipal Police.
This is my concern with the current political tension between the US and Mexico. The leaders are doing what they think is best for their country and both say dumb things but all that matters is what is happening behind closed doors.
Tijuana is almost an extension of San Diego with all the people working in the US and many are US citizens. On top of that the bars in the Zona only care about making money. They don't care what you think and will usually agree with what you say to make money from you and insult you behind your back.
Remember the Asians that were worried about negative views when COVID was going on, and nobody cared in the Zona. It's just about making money.
As far as the GN they are doing the job of making the area more secure, be happy with that and just don't carry weapons or drugs and you have nothing to worry about.

Those US Gringos in Colombia now are sitting ducks. LOL, probably not, that was a joke.

I hope this settles the matter and they don't put a travel ban into place. I have friends that monger in Colombia and that would suck for them.

Sending back illegal immigrants, especially those with arrest records, is a good thing and not picking fights. The Mexican oligarchy has enriched themselves, at the peoples' expense, for generations and it's not going to stop with Doņa Claudia.
I truly don't understand why some folks defend criminal illegals and have no problem allowing them to roam our streets.
