It depends on what do yo mean for "relatively inexpensive" in the Mitte area. I think Kimino tried the place out a while back and concluded that while not a bad place it is really not worth the extra expense unless you are really set on a particular girl there.

As for Mitte, there are not a lot (or any that I can think of) brothels in Mitte. Hard to say exactly because I am not always that clear where one district ends and another begins. There are several in Prinzlauerberg which is right next door to Mitte. There are also a couple of Thai massage places and other erotic massage places in Mitte.

Maybe have a look on this map which shows all the bordellos, massage and nightclubs in Berlin. You can turn off / on the various types of place to make the map easier to read and generally there is a link to the home page (or at least a path) so it is quite handy.

PS-Had a look myself and the only Brothel I can see which is in Mitte (though it could be in Kreuzberg as I am not sure of the boarder) is Sternchen. Give this place a miss. I went there with Charlie123 to see how it was but mainly to see a german girl that I liked a lot from Artemis, Helena. The girl wasn't there, the rest of the lineup sucked both literally and per quality, the place looked way beneath the level one would expect from the price level. Bottom line, I never went back.
