This heat just kills me.[/QUOTE]For some time now I have been proportioning, in the early stages of my visits, a small percent of my total BKK time to staying in the Chit Lom - Ratchadamri neighborhood for exactly your stated purpose ie to gain easy access to Patpong. A metered taxi will cost around 65 baht back to my hotel with a girl in tow. This area also provides easy access to Nana which is my current favorite Go-Go pick-up scene. Sure, Nana is sleazy, but it feels like home. 555. And more importantly, I have lately found my favorite best girls there. Patpong is my 2nd favorite Go-Go pick-up scene. And Soi Cowboy, unfortunately, lags far behind. Anyway, I like to stay in this neck of the woods (Chit Lom) in the early stages of my trip because once I establish friendly relations with a couple of Patpong working girls, it is not a problem, as if it ever was, to take them in a taxi back to wherever I am staying on Sukhumvit like soi 19 or soi 24 for example. And as an extra bonus, I have very close proximity to Spasso and Mixx, both interesting and sometimes rewarding 5-star hotel FL pick up bars.

So, there are a number of great hotels in the area. High budget: I like the Intercontinental best (Mixx is in the basement), then the Grand Hyatt (Spasso is in the basement & the Grand has a great pool). High High budget: the new Park Hyatt which is currently beyond my allowable expenses, but it looks really good. If money were no object I would stay here. And lastly, I will also recommend the Marriott Courtyard which has very nice rooms and a good pool for around 2800 baht / night or less.

The current Patpong Go Go's that I like are Kings Castle 1, Kings Castle 2, Pink Panther, and Badabing. Additionally, I have heard good things about the newly opened Glamour Go Go which is owned by the Badabing group. I plan to check them out on my next visit. I enjoyed reading EihTooms's recent report. It was interesting that he found his girl in King's Corner (Patpong 1) which is a mixed Go Go. I have been in there a couple of times. I prefer Kings Castle 1 and Pink by a wide margin, but hey, that's is just my opinion and on any given night YMMV. A couple of years back I barfined a Kings Castle 2 girl and she told me she originally worked in the Kings Corner (Patpong 1 bar), but left. I asked her why and she said on account of the ladyboys and I understood what she meant. LB's can appear to be somewhat domineering to a young girl fresh off the bus. Another Patpong bar that people can't seem to agree on is Black Pagoda. I am not a big fan because I don't find many of their girls all that attractive, but Black Pagoda girls are very friendly in a totally laid back way, so I guess some patrons like to go there just to meet up, have a drink, relax and whatever. When I was last there the AC was not working properly and temp inside the bar was uncomfortably warm.

I take taxis or motor cycle taxis almost everywhere now. Try taking a motor cycle taxi from Ratchadamri to Nana (Soi 4) or from Sukhumvit Soi 24 to the Thai Cultural Centre in rush hour. I guarantee you it will take years off your life. LOL.

I can go from Sukhumvit to Silom for 9 thb. Or Sukhumvit to China Town for 14 thb. BTS has no senior discount and is way to crowded.

You just mention senior and the station to the chit seller and she will give you the discount. I think it is 55 and older. Always get a seat if I want it but I usually give it up to older or pregnant ladies.

And to agree with many comments about Soi Cowboy. It has gotten very bad. They must be getting the dancers from Soi 4 Nana wall. Lighthouse girls were so bad I went outside to finish my beer. And many fatties working as coyotes.

Will definitely look into the Marriot Courtyard next time. I have enjoyed Marriot Courtyard's elsewhere in the world. The Intercontinental Bangkok is very nice. I get to stay there when my buddies come on business trips.

Absolutely agree on your assessment of the best Patpong gogo bars. Black Pagoda ranked up with the other 2 years ago but the last few times I have been there only led to a disappointing walk back down the cat ur1ne smelling stairs.

Didn't even know King's Corner had girls there. All I ever saw were ladyboys outside sp never popped in.

I prefer Patpong. Girls are friendlier and gems can be found there. It's like comparing LK Metro to Walking Street. LK Metro just more laid back.

For guys who are adventurous like I am and have time in Patpong, check out some of those bars upstairs from Star of Light. Yes the girls are usually older and only 3 or 4 girls per bar but they're free to check out. Found an amazing young Vietnamese girl there last year. Clearly working in a secluded bar because she is not allowed to work in Thailand.

Bars will open a little early on Saturday night, and close at midnight.

Bars will be closed all day and night on Sunday.

Back to normal on Monday.

" And you are correct, it is not discussed up front, but even though I am pretty much condom 100% for intercourse both vag and a+, I always like to see if the gal is up for BBFS. And I would say that at least 75% of the gals in the PSE shops are a go. And there is no additional fee involved. In fact, I have never tipped a Baht in the PSE shops, have been a customer for well over a decade, and get great service, of course depending on the gal. King's Corner is also on Patpong 1 Road, a short walk past King's Castle 2. The night I was there recently I would say it was as mixed gender LB and genuine female percentage-wise as Sucker's Go-Go Bar (is it called Lollipop again now?), the first go-go bar on the left as you enter Nana Plaza. Also about as much as Enter Go-Go Bar on the third level of Nana Plaza was a few nights ago. My impression was King's Corner is even bigger than King's Castle 1. In terms of square meters or square footage, King's Corner is probably the biggest go-go bar on either Patpong 1 or 2 Road.

King's Corner 2 is near King's Corner on a small sub soi between Patpong 1 Road and Patpong 2 Road, a little closer to Patpong 2 Road I think. I did not walk past that bar when I was in the area last time. As far as I know, it is not a mixed gender bar, it is 100% LB.

Quite the contrary for looks in most instances now. Back in the day there were quite a few lookers at Mango and Snow. Not at the present time. Nadear, who started her career working at Tulip and has now owned two shops herself, the defunct Victoria and now Cherry, told me it is very difficult to find good looking gals who are willing to provide a true PSE. I would imagine that is the case considering how much more conservative Asia and Thailand are at the present. The Asian punter does not demand PSE or GFE and seems to be satisfied with a ride with a pretty face.

For me BBFS is not a requirement, but a gal with a filthy mind who has really honed her craft is.
