Lets keep politics out of the forum. Huge areas of England have Pakistani population as it used to be a colony of England and a lot of people immigrated to England long time ago. Most Arabs are hard working, while there are a few who live off the system. Having said that the only reason there are so many russians working in thailand are to attract the arab population who pay significantly more for their services(dont like that) . Again, this forum is to discuss our hobby and not bigoted point of views
Let's all be like bono and ask the average bloke who makes £25K per year to pay more taxes to give that money away to corrupt african dictators, while you, bono, multimillionaire, move production out of ireland to avoid taxes. Just the facts, please, just the facts. Maybe you can answer--why doesn't bono give away, say, 1/4 of his wealth? He'd still have millions upon millions. Hell, madonna just gave ritchie something like £50M, surely bono can cough up something like that for, say, hunger in haiti?
Now to return to topic--where can I find Russian girls? I've found them in FKK clubs, they are stunning, didn't see them my one trip in BKK. I share with my arab brethren a liking for them.
Back in Bangkok for few days I paid a midday visit to the Star of light bar in Patpong. After a couple of drinks I selected Pla, a small girl from Kalasin. Her blowjob (as usual performed on the sofa) was really good and ended with the customary (for that place) come-in-mouth.
After the "business" was done I spent some time talking with her and I found out that she is an "anal provider".
That’s music for my ears so I booked her for late in the afternoon.
To cut a long story short, we met at 5 o’clock at the hotel Pavillion (just 50 meters from the Star of Light). No need to pay the barfine (not that it matters so much as it is a mere 400 baht) as I went directly to the hotel and I guess she has already finished her working–shift.
In the bed she performed even better than in the bar!
A great anal session she seemed to enjoy (I surely did! ) that let me exhausted on the bed.
At the end of the session she suggested a massage in order to let me relax. The massage soon began a blowjob ended with a came-on-face.
All this for 1500 baht!
This girls deserves to be taken for a whole night but that was impossibile for me this time as I am travelling with my wife (that on the same night claimed a coulpe of sex-performances, leaving me the next morning more similar to a carpet than a human being and forcing me to call off the scheduled afternoon session at the Eden Club.).
In any case I will surely take Pla overnight on my next trip to Bangkok in February. One month to go.

I am an experienced monger in Europe, Asia and South America but only recently made it to Thailand. This is the report on my experiences.
I stayed at the Dynasty Grande. My rate was about 2400 BHT/night and I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly for its location, the quality of the room and the service of the staff.
I have to say I found Bangkok a tough nut to crack. I was there for 6 nights in total, more than enough to get to know the basics of the city it I'd say, but I left feeling either it wasn't for me or i needed more time.
Most of my time was spent in the Sukhumvit area, particularly Soi 4 - Soi 7
The quality of girls is average. Stunners are few and far between, but i suppose they are all over the world. I found Thai girls to be, on average, quite 'unsexy' particularly in comparison to Latinas. I'm not referring to looks here but to their attitude. I'm turned off by the natural subservience of Asian women. I have lived in Asia for several years before so this wasn't a surprise. Obviously this is a personal opinion and not all mongers will share it.
Go-go bars. I didn't exploit these as much as I should have done. The quality of the dancing girls was much higher than the bar girls and I should have collected some phone numbers. I regret not doing this.
As previously reported, the particularly good Go-Gos are: Rainbow 4 (Nana), Baccarat (Soi Cowboy) and Shark Bar (Soi Cowboy)
Pool bars. I only really know the ones on Soi 4. Apparently most of them are owned by the same Swiss owner. Hillary's I and II were probably the best. Soi 4 is dominated by Brits.
Beergarden. I quite liked this place. After about 2pm it's full of freelancers and although the average is pretty low, the sheer quantity of girls means there'll always be a few stunners. I was most enamored with a bar girl there, though, but after days of pursuit no luck :-(
Gullivers. An enormous bar, much larger than Beergarden, but for the 4 or 5 times i was there it's was running at about 10% capacity, in comparison to Beergarden which was always full.
Massage parlours: I visited only 2: Annies and Tulips. I went to Tulips twice and both times the performance was very high. In particular the first time with a girl called Ma, or maybe it was Mae. Not beautful, maybe a 5 or 6, but sublime performance, in my top 5 sex experiences of all time (which is saying something). A similar experience was had the second time. At Annies, however, i didn't get beyond the line-up. These girls were damn ugly. I left as soon as I had the misfortune of seeing them and I'm st6ill trying to remove the image of them from my mind.
Again, I should have visited more of the parlours. There are lots of excellent reports on this board of good massage parlours and I barely skimmed the surface.
Night life. Bangkok is suprisingly tame in comparison to many large international cities. Most bars close at 2am and although there's a very nice street scene after that where you can buy a beer and eat fabulous food, you won't find many bars open. However, I did visit two clubs both of which are very decent pick-up places. Confusingly, they have almost the same names: Spice Club on Soi 11 beneath the Ambassador Hotel and Spicies, somewhere further south. The former is more packed availables, but the latter is a more fun venue although you will suffer a lot of harrassment from taxi drivers on your exit looking to persuade you to take a massage or to take a trip to a 'better' club.
Be aware that going to these sorts of clubs every night, as I did, will significantly add to your budget. I spent an average of 1500 BHT on drinks per night alone at these clubs. Entrance is 200 BHT at Spice Club, inc 1 drink, and 300 BHT at Spicies, inc 1 drink.
Food. The quality of food in this country is outstanding. Always fresh and usually cheap.
Taxis. Particularly brazen at trying to rip you off. As reported here many times before, ALWAYS insist on the meter being turned on. The driver will be pissed, but it always pays to have it turned on. On the ride from my hotel to the airport, the driver kindly offered me a fare of 500 BHT which i declined much to his dismay and I ended up paying a meter price of 300 BHT. At the end of the journey I pointed out to him that he had been trying to rip me off of 200 BHT and I didn't appreciate it. Normally I'll just roll with the punches, but i was particularly annoyed at the way the taxi drivers behaved in BKK.
I must say that my first 5 days in BKK were only mildly enjoyable and much less so than my first trips to Peru, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina. However, I think I will go again soon and look on this trip as only a primer. A major reason for this is cost. I average around 100 EUR/day here (excluding hotel). In South America, I'd be looking at 200-300/day.
Next time I will spend more time exploring the MP options and focusing on getting some phone number
Hope this has been useful.

The last few times I've been in BKK I've had some very roundabout trips to my destinations (and I do know my way around). The problem with this is once they get "off course" it is not easy to correct because of the screwy street system. I don't mind paying a few baht extra but sometimes they stretch the limit. You can complain, or try to negotiate a lower fare, but it's best not to tussle too much with these guys as they are known to all have weapons.
You will find that with each successive trip to Bangkok you'll have a better time. Initially there's a fairly steep learning curve, but then eventually it will be a lot of fun. Read through some of the reports here from guys like Mick and Nic...they know the good spots to hit for fine women.

In Thailand you must try to be polite and smile.
Its fine to insist on using the meter but then having an argument about being ripped off is very impolite and un-Thai.
Chill-out man and try to have a good time.
200 Baht is just over 5 dollars. I give all the taxi driver a good tip out of compassion at the moment as business is extremely tough with the decline in tourism. These guys are barely making enough to eat at the moment and cannot pay the rent most likely. O.K. he inflated the price on the basis that westerners can afford it, and he needs the money.
Just remember a taxi ride in the west would cost you a fortune.
I tip all the serving staff in the hotels at the moment too. Just remember the waitress has no husband and is trying to save for a bicycle for her son and hasn't even got a refridgerator yet. Lives with severasl other family members in a tiny flat.
Just one example.
I didn't say I had an argument with him, just that I pointed out I knew what he did which I is perfetly legitimate.

Bangkok Bargirls make more money than the head nurse at the Bumragrad, and if you don't ask how much something is up front in Thailand they will always overcharge. Time for the farhang to exploit and cash in on the Thai misfortune that they brought upon themselves. If the punter wants a 500b short time hecan now get it. If a backpacker wants a room at the Landmark he will get it. They didn't do anything to assist the stranded tourist and now they will have to pay the price. Thais did everything they could NOT to assist the stranded tourist. They misled the public totally hoping they would just hang around and sah-pend more money. Over here in NYC our poor people are freezing do death. Thai kids are starting to look as fat as American kids anyway, so maybe it is time for them to go on a diet.

And 800 Bht from Pattaya to that Airport with the wierd name that looks like a sci-fi circus tent is standard fare (plus tolls) and I usually give 200bht tip for the real long rides unless the driver has a bad attitude. It is a very simple thing. If going around Bangkok you don't close the door to the Cab until a)you have determined the Cabbie speaks english or If you have a card (in Thai) with the hotel name you show it to him and determine if he knows where it is. b) the meter turns on. Under no circumstances should you pay an un-metered fare without haggling. TOPS, maybe 250 bht from MoChit to KaoSan or Nana. I will tip generously if this guy is in backed up traffic

Yes its O.K. to point out that you know the real price, but westerners should try to avoid pointing out "what they did".
I am just giving advice for all the other newbies to Thailand.
I also am trying to learn to be more polite Thai style even after many years of experience.

Thai style??.....have you ever gone on a taxi ride with Thai people....they don't allow any games in the taxi.....meter...to location.......round to next baht amount (i.e. 192 b = 200b).....out of taxi. Any deviation from this scenario = Thai man not happy and only throwing down what he perceives is the correct price. Taxi man maybe curses at Thai man calling him dog shit......taxi man leaves.....no police involved.
I have seen this played out quite a few times, but Thai people have less problems in taxis as they communicate better (obviously) than most farang....and therefore less misunderstandings.
Thai people don't put up with any crap from Thai taxi drivers......why is the farang to act Thai and take it rectally from these guys??.....who were quite dishonest before the recent political/economic downturn.
I personally have had few problems.....speak quite a bit of Thai....and the driver understands his passenger is going to be a problem...not worth it.....so just get the next guy. But I feel bad for the next guy who continually has to be the target for these dishonest taxi guys.
I have had some very nice, pleasant guys who have done an extra job for me.....and they have been rewarded in kind. There are some very good guys out there...helpful....and really trying hard to please. Then there are the dumb fucks who can't find Soi 8/Sukhumvit......how can they be driving a taxi in BKK?....then there are the nasty prick drivers who try to cheat every farang they get in their web.
You are right that pointing this out after the fact is not a good idea in this society. If the guy wanted 500....went on the meter and got 300...he is already losing face in his own mind....so better to just pay the 300 and move on.....this point I do understand.
I do laugh, why do people get this "impression" that Thai's are all so nice and polite and deal with things quietly and discretely?
You would never guess some people claim to have lived here for years.
Thai's deal with things in the Thai way.
If you are poor and have no big brother connections, you let fly at the scene and make you point and get your way. Thai's take no shit and are happy to let fly with the fists and feet and whatever.
If you are not so poor, and trying to keep up the Hi-So image, you take the shit and give the farangs and everyone around the impression that its quietly sorted out, in the meantime you phone you big brother and he gets a couple of off duty police/thugs/solidiers/whatever to visit the person who pissed you off in the evening or a few days later and kick the shit out of them.
If the problem is a bigger problem that just a kicking, you quiely let it slip out of peoples minds for a few weeks/months, and then you send someone around to shoot them dead.
This is the Thai way of dealing with things, no image to keep up then let it fly, if there is an image to keep up then deal with the offender later.
To recommend farangs be oh so gentle and quiet is the reason that so many get ripped off. Thai's love to rip off the farang, especially when nine times out of ten the farang will not even bother shouting some abuse.
Come on, if you were a school bully and nine children in ten would let you steal their money without even a whimper you would expand operations.
If nine out of ten shouted shit loads of abuse at you and other people saw you were a bully, it would make you think twice.
Just do not go around shouting "e-saat" or "e-hear" or words like that, that may seem as tame as "son of a *****" does to an Englishman who things that Americans are rather stupid to think that is a insult, but if you insult a Thai with 'e-saat" or "e-hear" then its fighting talk and fists flying most likely.

This is why I take the airport to suk bus for 150 THB. Its interesting, I notice that they are more desperate, and anxious in this economic crisis, but they haven't responded (in general, the taxi drivers) with the typical market response, and instead are more outlandish with their dual price/rip off the farang ways. Typical Thai-conomics, bad times are coming so overcharge even more, because business is bad.
