Anyway, from my home base here in Rio, watching Narcos on Netflix has left me musing about Colombian women. If someone has impressions to share, I'd appreciate it. Particularly whether you think it's worth a trip (6-8+ hours by plane, depending on city -- eg GIG-BOG-MDE) from BR to explore. [/QUOTE]I mongered in So Paulo and mongered in Bogota, Medellin, and Cartagena. Bogota had more of a Sao Paulo feel but you won't find any nightclubs like you do in Sao Paulo. For example a place like Casaro does not exist in Colombia. Colombia is much cheaper. Especially if you hit Santa Fe in Bogoto or the brothels in Medellin centro. Cartagena is more expensive but you can still find cheap sex if you look enough.

I used the Verizon international calling plan for $10/ day and it worked well. One hotel internet sucked but the maps was very good and got to order Uber pretty easy.

However, if your plans may change, if you don't mind paying a little more and accept getting stuck on a much later flight, wait until you're in country and certain.

Desirable seat? The flights are less than 1 hour. You should be able to sit on a milk crate for at least that long. How would they be able to change or cash in a ticket? Unless you are buying the most expensive one then it will not be refundable anyway. If it was refunded, it would go back to the same credit card it was bought with. If I couldn't trust someone with a ticket I do not think I would be able to trust them concerning anything else.
