Small technicality, but Indramayu is located on the northern coast of West Java, east of Jakarta. The view is of the Java Sea, not the Indian Ocean. ;)

I will be on my first (ever) trip to Jakarta next week. While I appreciate there have been earlier reports like the ones on Ramadhan 2007, can any Jakarta resident provide insight into 2010?

Are Alexis and Hotel Travel open? Any restrictions to their operations (opening hours, girls)? Much appreciated.

I was a walking paraplegic 2 days before my departure … and the fact that I will arrive on the eve of Ramadhan bolstered my confidence that it will be a grand trip … working ladies standing in line to milk the last rupiah of my sperm … a pussy embargo on the 1st and 2nd day of the fasting month imposed by the government usually stokes the desperation … but, I expected to be well-drained by a regular companion, Via, by then.

I returned to Jakarta recently after a 6 month absence, the longest ever. The reason was my heart stopped beating which is as good an excuse as any I suppose. I was in my London office at 10.30am; by 15.00 that day I was on a life support machine with heart, lungs, kidneys and liver not functioning. Fortunately no vital organ was affected but it did take a while to recover from the heart operation. It was a rare unpredictable spontaneod event which can happen to anyone you'll be pleased to know.

I did think what if it happened when I was in Jakarta? Tough, it didn't stop my trip and it won't stop any future ones.

I did notice a couple things which were different which I've not seen reported (but may have missed it): first, they re-introduced the fixed 25USD Visa and dropped the 10USD option for short trips which is irritating, also I noticed that the Silver Bird fare has more than doubled to 300k. Probably worth hunting a taxi upstairs which has just dropped someone off. Finally I noticed many many than usual ayam heading into 30 bar which hitherto has been abysmal. I'm not sure if that was a one-off - cheap night or whatever.

I "met" a girl on the net before coming out and she turned up (on time!) at my hotel on the first night - even better than I expected having just seen her on cam. She told me, nervously, that she had a bule boyfriend she was going to marry who is working outside Indonesia and did I mind a purely sexual relationship? Errr.....OK then....... Some things never change.

Hi Classic hotel is open and its going full flow from 1pm till 5 am the next day. Had a whale of a time this weekend. Am sure Alexis and Travel will be hotel since all the bordellos functioning out of the hotels are open. 6th floor Girls are around and am being hounded with SMS after SMS asking me to come over. They are incidentally in the 6th floor itself, but in the rooms. Am being discreet about the room number. Try the second one out

Welcome back B69. Glad to hear you're better. I have a couple of friends who had some close encounters so I can understand where you're coming from.

Incidentally, I've found that using a prepaid taxi ends up being similarly priced and faster to your hotel. Since you've paid, they may as well get you there asap so they can collect the next fare. I did try taking Silverbirds as well as the Express Toyota Alphard - both are similarly priced but the Alphard has way more space and maybe a fraction cheaper.

I might have to take another look into 30Bar then - but it was dead when I last visited (albeit on a Thursday night). As for the girls, it's as they say, "The more things change, the more they stay the same." God I miss Jakarta...

Actually, I was sleepless after the 1st shot, as Esi had a horrible snore .. so, I logged-on to the internet to look up Indramayu on google map ... must have read the map wrongly and thought it was the Indian Ocean ... definitely, some brain matter was lost :D ...

Interestingly, on the eve of Ramadhan, I went to meet some friends at Arcadia (Plaza Senayan) ... after my HJ room massage. One of the guys claimed that Alexis and Marlioboro were officially closed, but had a few karaoke rooms opened for special VIP guests ... not sure whether gals are available, but he had non-P4P lady friends with him.

Out of the 3 rooms available at Alexis, he had managed to secure one, and invited us to join him .. I didn't because I was just yawning every 5 minutes from the effects of the three Panadol Actifast I had taken.

On my way to the airport on Thursday (the 2nd day of Ramadhan), I was invited by another friend to stop-by FM Boutique Hotel ... it was fully operational ... spa and karaoke.

Selection of about 30 gals on the 2nd Floor ... categorised into 2 grades of attractiveness .. Rp 300,000 and Rp 700,000 for ST ... if you wanted them to accompany you to the karaoke, it was approximately double the charges for a total of 5 hours.

I took Tias for Rp300k ST ... 22-year old, 5ft 5in, gorgeous D-cups ... but service was just SOP ...

Will definitely return in future, as the KLM flight I take normally departs at about 7.00pm ... after checking out from hotel at 1.00pm, this is a convenient pit-stop on the way to the airport.
