If you mean more sheer numbers of people showed up and supply could not keep up with demand, then yes, that will drive up prices every time in a free market.
If by "behaviors" you or someone is referring to the prices being paid by the consumers, that does not set price and has no effect independent of supply and demand on what other people pay.
Given the size of Costa Rica and it's remarkable economic expansion already mentioned by a third person on this string, sounds like it was the former. Also, given the differences in scale between Costa Rica and Colombia, I have seen it written here many times that there is very little to be gleaned from a direct comparisons between the two countries.
