Barba
I know! I've played monogamy. It's a bored game where you don't get any 'get out of jail free' cards. At least I didn't.
I know! I've played monogamy. It's a bored game where you don't get any 'get out of jail free' cards. At least I didn't.
I tried playing that same game twice. And my experience was pretty much the same a CS. I decided that the old adage "third time is a charm" is not worth the risk. I'd rather grow old and die being f*cked by multiple young spinners than to be imprisoned with one old hag again.
I also question why anyone would claim to be happily married, or even seeking marriage, and frequently post on a sex search site. For some reason, the two concepts don't mix well. IMHO.
And it would behoove any foreigner to remember this because otherwise you start thinking they are interested in you for your exceptional good looks or personality, which leads to you overestimating your worth to them.
The following sentiment on this forum always amuses me...
If a white guy gets Pinays, it's because of his superior attitude. But if a Korean gets Pinays, it's because he's "throwing money around".
Philippines is a country where Quasimodo with an American citizenship can date, have sex and marry Filipinas quite easily. It's not exactly an accomplishment. People here need to deflate their egos and stop thinking of themselves as special. If anything, if you have to meet women in the Philippines, you're probably less desirable than your average Joe in your native country.
If you marry the right girl for you she will go to USA and stick with you as I have seen with other guys, marry the wrong girl and age will not matter she still will leave you once she has the visa.
I was never talking about marriage. I'm talking meeting, dating and getting a girlfriend in the Philippines.
Of course, a women isn't going to divorce and leave you once she lands in America (or whatever Western country). I'm only saying that your socioeconomic status was a crucial factor in her marrying you in the first place. Granted, all women (even those in Western countries) want guys to be financially stable. But this need is on steriods in the Philippines.
By the way, the "wrong" girl is almost always related to the difference in age between the two parties.
By the way, the "wrong" girl is almost always related to the difference in age between the two parties.
I know of one failed case where age was not a factor. A buddy of mine married a Pinay about the same age as him and had a kid some years back. His daughter is 7 now I think. He said the woman was so damn lazy and so damn sorry that he could no longer put up with it and is in the process of a divorce now. He said all she had to do was go work a couple of hours at McDonald's while the kid was in school so she could have money to send back to PI and she would not even do that. He has yet to learn his lesson though because he is back to fishing in the same hole.
If you marry the right girl for you she will go to USA and stick with you as I have seen with other guys, marry the wrong girl and age will not matter she still will leave you once she has the visa.
Yeah but either way it is a hell of a risk to take.

Western Bias in the Phi
The following sentiment on this forum always amuses me.

For a 30something year old you seem to know it all. I think you are not looking hard enough at your environment. You are clueless.
[Soapbox on]
It is quite obvious you know less than you think you know about the Philippines. Your western biased cultural rants on age and marriage in the Philippines are getting quite old.
/br
For the majority of the world, including the Philippines, women marry men of means as a way to provide for their family. For many agrarian societies of the past, men married when they were able to support a family. This meant men marrying (often) much younger women (who were often in their mid teens) when they (ie, the men) were considerably older (ages thirty or older). Also, many societies had poligamy which meant that an extra-ordinarily abled man might have married his first wife when he was in his mid twenties and married his second or third wife whom are typically 15, 16 or at most 17 years old when he was in his thirtees or forties. This western notion of marrying similar age group is new and not universal. Even modern China seem to have the quaint notion of marriage, as the disparity between wages and cost of living is forcing many modern Chinese men to delay marriage, starting a family and buying homes. Modern Chinese men are marrying and starting a family much later than most modern western men.
/br.
Let this shit of yours go. It is not helping you or anyone else on this board to keep bantering on age disparities of western men and their Filipina wives or girlfriends. There is nothing inherently natural about men marrying women of the same age as themselves. I would say that the history of mankind has not proven this theory of yours. To the contrary, in many societies, older men marry younger women. And this seems to be true in the Philippines.
/br.
I thought about ignoring your rants. But, I couldn't. I hate BS and you seem to have a lot of it. You are 30 for crying out loud. You've seen nothing yet. Observe. Learn. Then comment. Things are not always what they seem to be at first blush.
/br.
Your notion about ideal marriage ages is just another western notion that gets bandied about without challenge. Much like the folks at Fox News (in USA) and News of the World (UK) bandy about materials that are propaganda as if they are facts. It's just BS. Give it a rest. Observe the culture in the Philippines, instead of trying to get it to fit your pre-concieved notions of what it ought to be.
/br.
Young Pinays date and some marry considerably older western men. So what? Unnatural? Says who? Define unatural. Do baboons marry or date (ehr f*ck) this way? How about monkeys, chickens, dogs, cats, mices, etc? Where the hell is this sh*t coming from?

Why
Good for you! Not many guys ever find their soulmates.
Now the cynical bastard in me wonders why you need to frequent a forum for those looking for paid sex partners?
I really enjoyed my time in the PI when I was a younger single guy. Since I was US military, I could fly in and out of Clark Field for a mere $10. 00 from Okinawa. I spent several one week trips and a few long weekends in AC. The people were friendly, the girls pretty and accommodating and the beer was cold.
I guess I am reliving my youth through the adventures of younger men as I am now a crippled old married man.
Your time will come.

But I can tel you that this mid 50s guy picks some great girls and they seem to all want to come back for seconds and thirds etcetc. And as they are all dates and generally free guess its not to do with the money. Maybe the older guys have got a little more game, a lot more style and whole heap more class. Hubble bubble toil and trouble. This pot will be stirred at the double.

I recommend a book called The Manipulated Man by Esther Vilar. Old, but good stuff. I think you can find a copy online.
But in the defense of marriage, there has been a post catastrophe marriage increase in Japan. About 30. 40% of people in their 30s are still single, but some have come to the conclusion that life might be shorter than expected and therefore more people are tying the knot. But I talked to one housewife who is considering the reverse operation since her hubby ran out of the house during the earthquake. Leaving her there. X.

maybe that is why i have such a large collection of personal pics/vids. when i'm old and drooling into my malted milk, i can review them and remember that i used to have a use, apart from peeing, for the wrinkled old dangly bits between my legs:).
I came across a link to this, from one of the Stickman website "reader submission" articles.
A very sharp, informative essay from years ago. Even more trenchant, in that it's written by a woman, Esther Vilar, an Argentinian by birth, who saw society in a very different light from the "politically correct".
Jackson, I hope you will be so kind as to leave this link intact.
