There are a couple ways one can easily connect with a girl at the Marriott. The first is to hang out in the 'Egyptian Nights' part of the outdoor café, enjoy a shisha, put on the Bluetooth with your name and number as the name of your phone, search for girls on Bluetooth, connect with them on whatsapp or directly on Bluetooth. We understand very well the value of money and know that if they are even lucky they will get maximum L.E. 1500 per month (90% of times even less) in the job market here in Cairo regardless of the profession (even as a doctor in a hospital). Remember, we are talking IF they even have a university degree.

We also know they get just L.E. 150 per shot at the brothels for every client they take.

I agree with you Egymonger on the value of money especially that I am working as a businessman. However, finding this low rate local sharmotas with such good quality needs lots of experience just like yours (740 reports).

If one has some international experience in mongering, even if one was aware of the realities here in Cairo, there are different classes of working girls. In the US you can get a "crack working girl" for $25 in a lot of places, but you can also get an elite call girl for $2500. Cairo has it's own classes of call girls. What differentiates them though is probably not much. But the top class Russian and other girls are way out there. The girls in the Marriott and the shisha cafes in Mohandiseen don't come from the brothels and dirty street corners people like EgyMonger hang out in. They are spoiled by catering to the Gulfi crowd and a few western tourists / visitors like myself. Just because some girls cost only 200 le doesn't mean others don't get 1500 le. There are different markets, if you know anything about economics. Different clientele create different supply / demand models... In short, comparing the girls at the Marriott with those in a brothel in Nasr City doesn't pan out as a basis of judging and condemning others. In fact, it is just kind of stupid.

Though, I do agree, that at some point girls get greedy. Can't blame them necessarily for trying to take advantage of a "rich" tourist (which I am not! Had one recently insist I pay her $1000! I just ignored her.

You are young yet, you have time. Let me try explaining, since you didn't quite follow my rambling message below. The price of a working girl in the Marriott and the cafes in Mohandiseen has absolutely NO, ZERO impact on the price of girls you favor in the brothels and on the streets. Let me give you a little analogy: I can go downtown and buy a ta'amiya sandwich from Felfela for 3 le. I can go to the Marriott and order a ta'amiya sandwich and pay 35 le for it. Just because Marriott charges 35 doesn't mean Felfela is going to start charging 35 - they will lose all their customers and go out of business. Likewise, I can't demand to pay only 3 le at the Marriott, they won't serve me. There is no relationship between the two. The price has nothing to do with quality. In fact, the one at felfela is probably even better!

The price at the Marriott has no relationship to the general economy of Egypt either. I mean, if the average salary is 1500 le per month or so, who is going to pay nearly 250 le for ta'amiya? The prices the Marriott and other 5 star hotels in Cairo charge have nothing to do with the economy of Egypt. Their prices are based on a global economy. Their prices, services, and quality of goods have no relationship to one another.

Different working girls work in different economies. It is quite simple actually. There is no greater quality, necessarily to what the Marriott offers. The goods might look a little more made up, have some nice looking garnishing, and might even be served with a prettier smile, but in the end, the taste may be exactly the same.

My opinion is that both of you are correct. I can rephrase the question to RyanWill, if you found the same girls like M. and N For 300 LE each instead of the $150, will you go with them or not??
