I'm not trying to insult Khmers, I'm actually quite fond of them giving their history of the last 40 years. I'm just calling a spade a spade.

The reality is that a large proportion of Khmers have never seen the inside of a school. Many can't read or write their own language let alone English. Most know nothing about the outside world, nor do they care. Sure, they are street smart, they have to be to survive.

But being street smart doesn't make them intelligent, far from it.
