That's why I am a Thermae dude or Mixx for the times I want to go out, sometimes Spasso. I can guarantee getting what I want if I want it.

I like to combine trips out with football, that way I can get a Chang Soda and watch the game and the girls in Thermae. Or Spasso. Mixx, its just pure cruising, but I like the music.

To visitors, here is your pre high season wisdom:

The girls in any of the falang bars (Hillarys etc) are usually too old and haggard for me. I try to stay well below 30. YMMV, but my idea of fun is not hanging out with a bunch of beer drinking singlet wearing yobs anyway. Insanity is OK, its more club than pickup joint but I have had some luck there if I'm in the mood. But its on Soi 11 and that's just farang party street, a Khao San Road for the more well heeled with higher grade hookers (a bit older too), overpriced food and drinks and a tourist atmosphere. You come all the way to Thailand to party with farangs, that's your place. GoGos on Soi Cowboy are for tourists. If you want to get laid there, make sure your choice is bar fineable. And expect your wallet to be waaaaay lighter when done. I can get any GoGo girl or even many coyotes but quite frankly, I know what I am doing and you don't. Nana is a bit more boomboom oriented but make sure you are ready to pay. The street girls on Nana are the bottom of the barrel, although you can find even lower around Sanam Luang if you know what you are doing. There are some "chicken shacks" and Thai places you can go to, but I don't recommend that for tourists, so don't ask me. That leaves Patpong (gay and tourist) and the best of the lot, Thermae. Anyone can get laid in Thermae for the cost of a 60 baht Chang Soda.

I don't do massage places more than once every few months so have nothing to say. I mostly want a scrub anyway.

If its your first time in Thailand, by all means have fun with your mates in a GoGo, but don't think you are getting a bargain, or that she is going to fall in love with you, or that even the sex will be that great (although there is no such thing as bad sex). All the strategies and posing from guys who have something to say about everything you read here, including bad breath, armpit hair, and their first Thai GF 20 years ago who knows Pim who once worked with Poon who did anal for a while, are meaningless when you hit the ground.

If you can stand to wade through all the personal, ego driven, pedantic, lecturing and stupid BS some folks post over and over, you can find gems here and there. Have a splendid trip. Do make an effort to stop in Thermae, spy the one you want, walk right over and ask her.

I have used it in the past. Whether there are enough pretty ones I can't say, but okay To compete with the massage joints mostly opening 11 am or maybe 10 am for some.

If you can get a girl for all night and do her the next morning, that is good, for bargirls and freelancers. Getting a fuck for breakfast is the hardest one.

Soapy massage places open in daytime but line up is usually weak up till maybe 5. 30 Pm or later. So Soapies have very limited good mongering time span for me.

I think in all my years in Bangkok I either never took a girl from Beer Garden or else she was not memorable and I forgot. But last 2 visits (last 2 years) - Beer Garden was dead. More like a horror show.

Has it changed? Is the construction on the street completed. I think that was the main reason for the downfall.
