If you'd actually bother to read my posts, you'd see that you and I are mostly in agreement.

The thesis of my previous posts was that economic need is a crucial factor in explaining sexual behavior of girls in the Philippines. This thesis fits comfortably with your discussion of agrarian societies and how girls mostly choose men for survival.

I advanced my thesis to contradict the often-cited fallacy here that girls in the Philippines somehow have a fetish for old white men.

Is there a Western bias in my posts? Of course! This is a Western forum visited overwhelmingly by Westerners. You complaining about Western bias here is like complaining about Filipino bias in a Filipino TV program. Besides, I'm guilty of Western bias just as you're guilty of Philippine bias. We're twin brothers basking in the same sin.

However, here's why my Western bias is more relevant than yours when discussing marriage. When a man marries and brings over a Filipina to the United States (or whatever Western country) , the marriage becomes subjected to Western cultural norms and pressures. And yes, in Western countries, marriages are more likely to fail if the difference in age between the partners is measured in decades instead of years.

Finally, something "unnatural" does not make it wrong or less worthy. I've never stated that marriages with huge age differences were wrong or evil. "Unnatural" is simply a phrase used to describe something outside a norm. Just as, it's "unnatural" to be born with an extra nipple. That does not make the person less worthy of life.

I studied this issue of age at marriage several years ago. Age difference is the primary factor in selection of a mate, here in the US and elsewhere. Try being 50 here in the US and dating a 20 year old. The ONLY way you will be able to do it is if your wealthy or famous which works to counteract the age difference among CERTAIN women, mostly goldiggers, opportunists & prostitutes.

Further, the worse the economic situation in the country, the lesser the opportunities for women, the more they will accept a wider age span for their partner. Of course they are always free to cheat with a younger Filipino and they frequently do.

Also, anyone who thinks that a Filipina who marries you is not very prone to divorce you once she gets to the States is sadly mistaken and will only learn after being burned. This happens more frequently when the age difference is greater.

Blacklisted really sounds like he gets all his ideas out of history texts, not from the real world.

I think I am addicted to the Phils now after only two trips there. Sure things are eff'd up there with the poverty and people looking for the easy way out instead of working for it. The women are passionate, full of intrigue and full borne "Malibog". The drama of some of the said women notwithstanding, I enjoy every bit of the Phils. Being back in the US is a drag. I can't wait for my next trip to the Phils or Thailand.

Someone mentioned that there is a famous bar in Manila where all the famous porn stars and other movie stars frequent. I never heard of such a place when I was in the Phils. Anyone here know of this place they speak of (I think they say it is in Malate)?

I'm absolutely positive that women only like Hugh Hefner for his good looks, wit, and charm. I'm sure his money and fame has nothing to do with it. Many times those same women want to go out with me because although I am dead broke, I am much closer to them in age.

Why? It might start out a bit slowly. Or maybe it's all common sense to anyone who has gone thru a divorce and also spends a lot of time at ISG.

My trips to the Philippines also makes me value what I have back in the United States. Here's one for you guys that think younger always gets the girl, I have a friend who used to visit Thailand 3-4 times a year. I talked him into visiting the P. I. For a couple years and he finally did. His 2nd trip there he met a 19 year old who just started working at the club (her 1st day). He took her for a short time and ended up staying with her the whole time. Before he left for home he gave her enough money to live well for 4 months and then returned and brought her home. They now have a 10 year old boy. He was 65 and on SS when they met, like I said she was 19. They live here in Texas and they are the happiest couple I know. She did not marry for money. It kinda makes me happy because when I visit them every few months she always gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and tells me thank you for talking him into visiting the P. I.

I have plans to go there next year, I know I'll taste the younger lasses but I would rather find a lady around mid to late 30's- late 40's. There should be an abundance of them since everyone seems to choose the younger. LOL. Happy Mongering My Brothers.

America is a better place to live. Philipines is an interesting place to visit. <--- These sentiments are probably echoed by 99% of American visitors to the Philippines (and probably 80% of domestic Filipinos).
