So I was told to bring nice crisps $100 bills to exchange to Mpeso. I made sure all the bills were without tears. While trying to exchange $500, the guy would only accept three of the bills. His reason is because the bill has a mark on it.

The next day I went to another location and tried to change $500. I made sure none of the bills had any marks on it. The young lady excepted $300 and gave me back $200. Her reason for rejecting is they don't accept hundred dollar bills made before 2015. I just laughed and said no problem just as long as you give the bills back.

I was trying to get one of my girls to come and visit me this morning. She's at her job and I normally send an Uber to pick her up. We have did this on three occasions and the price has never been more than kes 300. This morning the Uber driver was having a hard time so I canceled the trip and told her to just take a cab. When a taxi driver arrived to my place in the Westlands, the first thing he said was kes 1000.

It's not the money but the principal. I don't blame the cab driver or my girl who just walked off like it wasn't nothing. I just paying a whole day of wages for her to come and visit me. Small price to pay for a valuable lesson. Gentlemen, download Uber or Bolt. Please try to avoid the taxi mafia.

Taxi cab rides from CBD or too CBD is very expensive because of the traffic jams! I only got ripped off once for a taxi ride in Kenya 1500 KSH one way trip to Garden City Mall from Moi ave. I got a question to ask you why didn't you exchange the currency at the airport or use a credit card to do withdrawals at ATM's?
