I always start my conversation with a girl on TF by sending my photo. Even before I ask them about themselves. Then I immediately say Hello, and move on from there. Occasionally, a girl will ask me why I don't have my photo on the site. I respond that my work place does not permit the use of social media, like Facebook. This might sound like a non-sequitur to some, but almost every girl is satisfied with this explanation.

My major problem with TF is that there are too many girls who list 35-50 as their maximum age (and quite a few who say that they are interested in meeting men of any age, but really are not). I have long passed these milestones. I send them my photo and messages anyway, and about 1/3-1/2 respond that they are interested in meeting anyway.

I have had good success on TF meeting girls for "naughty fun", but not nearly as good as in the Philippines (Pinalove and DateInAsia) or the Dominican Republic using Tagged. On the other hand, there are soooooo many ways to get laid in Thailand that it is not a real problem.

But it has been happening to me almost all the time on ThaiCupid. I have maintained a premium account on each for 2-3 years but am thinking of dropping TC because of it. I keep having to check the settings to see if my desired age range was inadvertantly reset to From 48-to-Infinity during a site update or something.

However, the issue of being inundated by Interested and chatty ladies ranging from very doable to impossible but from areas way beyond my supposedly filtered distance range is greater lately on both sites.

Which meant it wasn't as though she had really given it much thought and it was not necessarily based on her feeling repulsed by men her father's age or older. They just plucked that particular age out of the air because it was handy, a reference number they were familiar with and they thought it might shock their friends and family to be introduced to their potential new boyfriend or whatever who is 8-12 years older than dad, heading closer to grandpa's age.

So if they saw the photograph of a man older than dad who has tried to keep himself presentable and might even pass for younger than dad, that was a pleasant surprise to them and a go. Meeting them in person clinched the deal even better.

Same could apply for very undesirable guys.
