Just beware gentlemen. This is not the first time nor the last time it will ever happen in a termas. Its part of the deal. You win some and you lose some. But just beware. Oh yea, and for the record, all of these conversations took place in portuguese.

My opinion, which I also expreseed to the staff, .........this is not a cheap place, so you gladly pay, as long as its a place that provides very good and honest service in an organized manner. Good Luck at Solarium.

I know the lady you are talking about. Solarium was never high on my visit list, but have been many times over the years (not a good sign when every temas knows you by name). Not sure if I was just unlucky there, but never found the place that well organized.

The pressure for the tip at reception always rankled me as well. The droves of Brasilero ass grabbers that frequent at certain times is also a bit of a turn off. I would sooner pay $R200 for entrance and have $R130 deducted from my program. This would thin out the ass grabbers who have no intention of going to a room and make more space at the bar.

The owner of Solarium, so far as I know he is from italy, I spoke some times with him, I got the feeling he is ok, probably gerente is only a stupid that has no idea how to behave with customers.

What doesn't make sense about getting ripped off in Brazil? Wow, what a shocker. I am not going to get into it as far as whether this really happenned or not. Not going to waste my time with that one.

As far as it being a business, I totally agree and I did express that to them. Yet, they don't give a crap. Am I really going to get into a possible brawl over a 25% discount? Yeah, I know. The ending I heard was "... but nobody wants to admit it". I was just reflecting on MC the other night which had a large, and I mean large, crop of big cottage cheese buts.
