I have a minor skin irritation and I would like to get it checked asap to rule out any possible STD even though it seems quite harmless for now.
Is there is reliable clinic / hospital in Angeles? Where is it located? I just show up or do I need to make an appointment?
What's the price (roughly) of a visit with a dermatologist here?
Just want to evaluate the costs, before getting ripped off

are you really certain that it is only a minor skin irritation? However, some mates recommended already Dr. De Guzman, Villasol (just past Clarkton and Oasis Hotels. Family Clinic). I don't know the exact price for a consultancy, but I suppose it is cheaper than a barfine! :)

you always just show up and wait. if you are at one of the clinics/hospitals, you can probably get the blood/[url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord109][CodeWord109][/url] test done yourself, and save time. just march up to the lab and tell them what you want, then give the results to the doc when you get to him. you potentially could be waiting most of the day.
i've taken my girl to clinics, but i forget the fees. even if they are ripping you off, its must less than you would expect. just don't forget to bring cash.
meantime if its on your skin and not ur pecker, its prob just a rash, or at worst crabs if its in the hair.

I really have enjoyed my time there because the hotel is a perfect fit for me, but I've stayed twice and both times, I have gotten a "bad skin irritation" on my legs and butt. As soon as I moved hotels, it stopped itching and cleared up in a couple days. Guess it depends on where the irritation is.

I have had the same problem at Walkabout, but I did not think much about it initially. One morning, I woke up early to go to the cr and did not turn any lights on. When getting back to the bed, I saw some what looked like ants crawling up the bedpost onto the bed. Needless to say I changed hotels ASAP.

You might be allergic to the detergent they use to wash the sheets. I had a similar problem when I was a kid and my mom switched brands. Never have had a problem with any other detergents so it really was an odd and rare reaction.

I thought it was a allergic reaction to something. I started wearing a t-shirt to bed when I was going to go to sleep and I haven't had a problem since.
I always ask for 2 extra sheets no matter which hotel I stay in ... to try and insulate myself just that much more.
Alot of the time its bed bugs which are biting you while you sleep, so the more insulation from the actual bed you have the better chance you have of not getting attacked.
I had a problem with Bed Bugs in 3 or 4 places there. However the Girl I was with never got bit. We dicovered she was rubbing hand lotion on herself before Bed. So I tried it and No more bites. Maybe they dont like the taste of lotion.

Yeah. Sounds like a classic sperm allergy from lying on a mattress repeatedly drenched in bodily fluids from various corners of the globe.

Well I caught Herpes: ((don't laugh guys can happened to everyone).
That's one of the bad aspects of being a sexual tourist in the third world.
As forrest said "STD's are like a box of chocolate you never know why one you're going to get."
Oh well I'm 40, and that's my frist STD ever, can't complain, it's just a bad week ahead of me, taking the pills. I'll get a full checkup when I go back to Switzerland next week.
For the safe sex police, know you can catch herpes even by fucking with a rubber!
On a side note didn't get it in Angeles, I got it either in Manila (probable) or in Phuket or in Pattaya.
It's never easy to talk about such things, but if that post can be helpful to others. I'm not worried as herpes will be gone in a week and will be just a bad memory and as it's the most common STD (read that about 20% of the americans have it) and it doesn't really have side effects or anything.
So if you guys got a STD or a any medical problem go to:

It's quite big.
I walked to ER, then I explained my problems. Immediatly I was given a paper to go see a doctor, I had to wait for like 10'. Then the visit, hard to judge the quality of the doctor as identifiy a first time herpes crisis doesn't exactly require a nobel prize winner, but he got the job done and made his prescription. Cost 500 PHP.
Then the hard part, the medecine are EXPENSIVE, there is one pill I must take 4x a day, called ZOVIRAX, which cost 200 PHP per tablet! That's 800 PHP per day, so 8, 000 PHP for my ten days treatment! Plus there were others. Ouch!
Once again, don't want to act like a spoiled child, a week of treatment and this will be behind me, it's nothing compared to the misery some people have here, so need to stay decent, just giving the information for other sex tourist (who isn't a sex tourist in AC.), who might encounter a similar problem.
On the bright side, my doc, said he often has foreigner with STDs, in angeles he said herpes isn't so common, however Gonorrhea is!
For you infos Gonorrhea is a bacteria, herpes is a virus.
Health and medecine is expensive for locals, so if you like a girl, don't hesitate to treat her at the hospital with a full check up, and medecine (if she needs some), it will be a better gift than a dress or a handbag.

Just thought I'd mention it.
I've used the swagman bus to travel from AC to Manila. It cost 600 PHP, that's about 12 USD.
We were about 15 guys in the bus, so that's a 180 USD turnover for swagman not so bad. Especially since the buses are 30 years old and are in very very bad condition.
Clearly those buses would not be fit for usage in western europe, even after expensive work. Those buses are good for the junkward.
The suspension are in terrible condition, each time there is a bump you are afraid it's going to break.
I believe we are at risk when using those buses. I would not use it again unless they invest on more recent buses, let's say I'd be ok for 20 years old ones in ok condition.
It's in my opinion irresponsible from swagman to make people travel in those buses.
Premium prices, but low end buses.
Is there any other bus service because this one isn't recommanded at all!

It is not the sheets you need to worry about. It is the bedspread which never ever gets washed. I have stayed in AC for 10 days sometime and even requested the maid to wash the bedspread but she said it is washed only after the guest leaves. I doubt it.
Just finished my first meander into the PI, staying exclusively within the Malate district as I was by myself. Hit a few girls from the LA cafe but otherwise had gf's (pre arranged by dating websites) taxi into my temporary abode at the Pan Pacific.
I appreciated the whorish element of the street life, but there was a bit too much going on otherwise e. G. Panderers, followers etc for my "comfort" level and am curious if you can find a comparable concentration of girls with a tad less street stuff in places e. G. Angelas or Cebu.
