Medellin Reports

I like eating at mid-class restaurant Carbon why Sabor which is 2 blocks down from the Centro church. Twice I have been there half an hour and the first customer after opening. Their condiments are already out. That is because they were never put in the refrigerator during the night. Can not prove but strong belief. Most the food is cooked on the spot whether it be street or restaurant food. Problem is the condiments. They may or may not refrigerate at night. But for sure they sit out all day long. High probability your food sickness is from that.

This last week I experienced something I hadn't experienced in quite a while. I am typically not out in "public" with my Chicas being either in El Centro, or at my place. However I met one of my Chicas last week at a beachfront tourist hotel in Cartagena. She arrived dressed to the nines, Gucci bag, designer sunglasses, gold jewelry, all phony knock off shit of course and garnered some attention being with an old fart 40 years older than her. The guy at the front desk was very cool I had been talking to him for about thirty minutes before she arrived and he approved!

However there were some other interesting "looks" from people, and who knows what some of these people were thinking seeing this older fart with a pretty slim morena in tow and playing in the pool together, dining out, and having fun. I noticed one older couple close to my age, and the wife seemed to give me a disapproving glare, and the husband, well I'm not sure what he was thinking, may of been clueless and or envious, god forbid if he had been a fly on the wall in the room observing the activities taking place. All in all though, most people could of cared less, but I did experience some unwanted attention a few times.

To put this in perspective, I live in a Southern California beach town, and if I were seen in tow with this Chica walking on Main street, on the pier, or anywhere around town, all eye's would be on me like fly's on shit! Every single woman walking the street would be giving me the stink eye. As far as the men, most of them would be totally clueless with the exception of a few, and somebody might even call the police.

What I experienced reminded me that Colombia is like an alternative universe for me, and hard to match elsewhere in the world at the moment.

I'm sure some other board members here have had some "walk of shame" experiences, maybe more so in other Countries versus Colombia.

Attraction is completely subjective, as the guy posting pics of deformed feet on this page clearly shows. The guy is spending his hard earned bucks to come to Colombia and you're going to set him straight on what's what? If experience is the lynchpin for you, great. Older women need work, too. Yes, having a good time is what counts. Half the joy is in the hunt. If hunting for 10's and occasionally finding one amongst the pleatora of 8's and 9's in Medellin gives him joy, power to him! Advice is one thing- critiquing a guy's attractions and fantasies goes well beyond the pale.

Living in Pattaya for quite a while soon put paid to that. I came round to thinking. What is there to be ashamed of?? Going out with a well dressed and sexy woman should be the last thing anyone should be ashamed of. Really the shame should be on the other side, meaning those that think there is anything wrong with it. If you're still living in the "real world" I guess your more often exposed to it, but usually it's conservatives projecting their own culture and values on to a situation where neither of the participants should care what they think.

Besides I could think of plenty of worse "walks of shame" haha.

She was walking out of the building. I tipped him for it ofc. I think most Colombian are cool with it, it's American that will give you a dirty look. A fellow ISG member probably just smile at you, I know I would hahaha.

I told him the other morning that in the United States, I am Dirty Old Man, and in Medellin I get a high five. He gave me a deep laugh. I also told him the reason I needed him was that "I don't expect miracles, just an endless stream of gorgeous chicas back and forth between Colombia, South America, and where I live here," and he loved that too, even though he is a family man with four kids. He enjoyed our visit so much he didn't want to charge me for the hour, but I slid a fifty dollar bill across the table and told him he could keep it off the books. Later that same day when he E-mailed me, he wrote, "I always love talking with people who are happy with their lives by not fitting into the American "mold. " I think his attitude is not unusual for a more educated, enlightened Colombian.

I just had a similar experience the other day in Rio de Janeiro.

I took my main GF along with me to see a friend who was in town with some of his colleagues.

My GF is a sweet young beauty, with that perfect beach tan, along with a big smile.

Anyway, a couple of my friend's colleagues happened to be with him when we arrived.

They were older gringa women, and they didn't approve, LOL.

My GF excused herself at one point to use the restroom, and one of the ladies (gringa) said to me, "she's adorable, but just how old is she?

I said, "I'm not sure, but I hope she's 18", Lol.

She's in fact 22.

The gringas did not like me being happy with a young and beautiful girl, that was apparent, and I didn't care, and they knew it, Lol.

Most of the folks I've met in Miami would consider me a real sweetheart, sweetheart.
