I was also in touch with this fraud couple (Tanishka Akash) - they asked my location & moment I said Mumbai, they said they are also from Mumbai. That was first red flag as their twitter handle doesn't mention any location and simply says NRI couple in India. When I said lets meet, the guy started asking for 4 K advance. I said no and said I would book hotel and show him proof. He gave me some sob story how some dude booked hotel and last minute cancelled it without telling them. I insisted on not paying advance and guy started sending messages that he is not scamster & I should trust him. He even sent me some pics of 5 K advance supposedly paid by others who had fun with them. I still said no and when I asked him which location in Mumbai he stays. He started getting aggressive about first paying advance. He claimed that he gets requests from 100's of guys daily and he can't meet everyone without advance. It was good enough suspicion for me of them being fraud and I told him goodbye!

Same thing happened with a woman called Suhani Sharma on twitter who claims to be from Mumbai. I offered her same terms of hotel booking to be done by me for meet but she insisted on 5 K advance. I said no and openly challenged on her twitter handle why you need advance being in same city. She abused & blocked me so that she doesn't get exposed further. One of the trick many of these scamsters follow is to promote their upcoming trips to smaller or non-monger friendly cities like Indore, Chandigarh etc. Which has relatively less supply of Indies (I guess) compared to metros like Mumbai / Delhi. And poor desperate mongers in these smaller cities get scammed by paying advance!

I am sure there are fraud mongers also on twitter / internet also who would confirm meeting & disappear. Having said that I think the risk is always much higher for monger paying advance as couple only runs the risk of no show with no monetary loss in absence of advance!
