Yeah, you were at Bukchang-dong, where these places are all over the place... about a five minute walking from the Chosun Hotel.

I'm surprised though, that the damage was only 450K for the four of you. That comes out to 112,500 KRW per person. My cousin took me to one of these places, and if I recall correctly, he paid something like 400K.

"Call" Anma, which is within medium walking distance of your hotel is a a good foreigner friendly bet. I've provided directions in a previous post as has at least one other poster. NB that in my directions, now that i think about it again the final turn should be a left instead of a right. Anyway, from the IH you just walk back down Teheran-no - the main drag in front of the (original) IC to the designated subway station exit, turn around and follow the directions stated. The problems come in when it is not your number or if you have a non-Korean residence number (many websites, even non-porn sites, do not accept foreign residence numbers. Some do, but most don't; Korean numbers begin with a 1 or 2, foreign numbers begin with a 5, usually).

Not usre if hanul is recognized by the forum software, but such places will be recognizable with signs (nothing fancy, just lettering up on the second- or third-story of a building) that will read hyoo-gye-tell, hyoo-gye-bang, hyoo-gye-shil, or maybe even chun-hwa-shil.

Phone rooms are old-school mongering for Koreans. I would be surprised if a non-Korean would be let in at all, and even if they are, the entire deal and phone conversations will be entirely in Korean anyway. So if you don't speak pretty fluently, this is not an option that will benefit you in any way.

Hoping it might become interesting, but it turns out he is a big classical music fan... We might end up at a concert rather than an MP.

So I did have a cruise around on Wednesday night, and here are my profound findings:

Based on my previous disappointing two reports in Seoul, can anyone recommend a good BBS / massage place where I can get washed, massaged, a HJ then washed again? There must be hundreds of places like this in Seoul but I can't find any. All the ones that are detailed on the forum seem to have incorrect or ambiguous directions or FS places (I'm only looking for HJ).

For those of us that live here, if you can get a promo ticket on Cebu Pacific and budget correctly, you could spend 800k on a long weekend in the Philippines. Chuseok is coming up...

Why anyone would pay these rates mentioned by Mouse1 is beyond me, but such is the mongering scene in Seoul. It even sounds like Belle is not worth going to anymore, and they raised the price too?

The problem with those promotion flights is that you have to fly on a Tuesday/Thursday or Sunday. It never works out and Chusuck is on a Friday this year and believe me Cebupacific is fully away or Chusuck and there aren't any promos for those dates. I already checked it out. I'd have to leave Thursday night after work and come back Sunday afternoon.

That's only 2 full days of fun.
