What kind of business do you operate in Vietnam? If it is a BJ bar or cafe, I will give it a try when I am in Vietnam ;-)
When I was in VN, my friends and I went to one of the BJ cafe shops in Go Vap district during the day and it was an awesome one.
Nah man, I only go to them places to enjoy myself but I do not own one lol!
I own a Mobile Phone (cellular fone) Store on Nguyen Kiem, Phu Nhuan. We specialise in modifying phones and repairing, but we also sell them aswell :)
Yeah the Go Vap BJ cafes are the best for quality and value ;)

Than you for a great post...Me and my buddy will be in Vietnam on Thursday night 7/15/04. Since its a late arrival at about 10pm..I hope you can give me some info as far as the night life since its been about 3 yrs since we last were there...and if its some type of business your operating there, I sure would like to meet up with you or your business for coffee.

Anyway, yeah if u wanna visit my business then the address is 447 Nguyen Kiem, Phuong 9, Quan Phu Nhuan. It's only a small telephone shop, the name is "HB328". It is DIRECTLY ACROSS the road from "LA MA" billiards leisure centre (which ALOT of foreigners visit aswell, I know a few american friends who visit there everyday). If you go into LA MA BILLIARDS then ask for HOANG/PHILIP (vietnamese name/english name), he is the boss there as is my very good friend, tell him "STEPHEN" sent you (me), he speaks fluent english/italian/chinese/vietnamese as he is a chinese viet-kieu. Address of La Ma is 434 Nguyen Kiem. No sex as such there but a fantastic place to go for a nice game of pool/billiards and it has a bar aswell, also the girls are nice looking ;)
Right, vietnamese does not have a lot of LEGAL nightlife :(
Most places will shut around 12am. Go to 261 (as mentioned in my previous post) or you can go to another bar which is called MTV across in district 3, I do not know the address but all the taxis etc. will know for definate as it is famous, the famous singer UNG HOANG PHUC just sang there live a couple of months ago (I went to see it too).
Another good disco to go to is the RAIN FOREST in district 1, again I do not know the address but most taxis will know as it is really a "white mans disco/hangout" if u know what I mean.
Hope this helps. (I would definately check out La Ma, everyone there knows me so if you tell them you are a friend of Stephen then they will be real friendly to you)

If you need a simcard or top up whilst out there then my shop is well known as it is officially the cheapest in Phu Nhuan ;)
If you speak vietnamese then go in and ask for my partner "anh Binh" and tell him you are a friend of Stephen, he will keep you right.

the hot new nightclub in hcmc now is one just off pham ngu lao if you go south from that roundabout (the one where nguyen trai starts) -- you'll see it soon on your left side just before reaching bui vien. inside it's pretty overwhelming, with the standard vn tables setup and a postage sized dance floor in the middle of them all. but that's in the middle of what must be the biggest nightclub now in hcmc. setup (and size) reminds me of the old speed on tran hung dao. name of the place is volcano. this place opened up pretty recently. you can't be disappointed by this one. some of the outfits you see on people need to be seen to be believed. the women dress to stun. and then there's also some (girls and boys) who dress to look like they're from another planet.
dear mr. #2234, can you give us the name of the street that this nguyen thai son massage place is on? or else something more specific about how to get there? you said heading to the airport but didn't mention on which street. (or is nguyen thai son also the name of the street it's on? i don't know street names out in that area too well)

Is this place anygood? I wonder if they'll ever have something on the same level as Club Blue.
It's nothing like Blue. Thinking of Blue still brings a tear to my eyes. :(

Alright guys (any gals in here? dont think so),
I've decided to head back to VN for a few weeks but it's been a year since i've been there. With our line of entertainment things change really fast so i'm here to look for more up to date info.
I saw the previous posts about massage, pool, karaoke, and clubs. So here is your chance all of those who are currently in VN or have been there in the last month to show me those hangouts (help a brother out). any info would be appreciated.
Also what are the prices of things these days, inflation cant be that much since last summer eh?

It's funny that you mention number ONE 261 on Ng. V. Troi because i went there before and really didnt like the place. Too loud and stuffy. Oh and yeah apparently there is one guy that owns all of the NUMBER ONE bars in hcmc, i have a connection to him, maybe he can show me around hehe.
Also if anyone is going to be in town and wants to meet up for coffee / beer / whatever feel free to let me know.
