Hey Angus....
....for someone who took an age to make your first visit to Artemis, even if this one wasn't a great success you've become quite an addict. :-) :-) Don't say you weren't warned. Thanks a lot for all the reports. Have a good 2009. Looking forward to more...

Yes I know. One of my reasons for not hitting Artemis for so long was that I kind of knew that once experienced I would want to head back again...and again...and again...
But I console myself with the fact that, aside from the girls, I really do enjoy the sauna, which is top notch at Artemis IMO.
I have later on in January penciled in for another visit.
Happy New Year to you and all ISG readers.

Your questions
I have been reading a lot of the posts here in preparation for my trip to Berlin in January. I have a couple questions that might be stupid ones:
1) What is the shower situation like? Private stalls or just an open area?
2) Do most guys go naked under the robe or would it be weird to wear shorts underneath?
3) Can you bring your own condoms or do the girls have their own they use?
Sorry if these are weird questions but i am curious. Thanks
1) Is not having a private stall a problem?
2) Most guys go naked under their towels or robes. I've only seen dudes wear underwear in clubs in Niedersachsen. Don't know why.
3) You can do anything you want. The girls always have an adequate supply of London brand condoms.

Thanks for the heads up.
I often wonder why Artemis does not have some sort of short time entrance for a reduced price. Perhaps a three hour ticket for 40-45 euros. As a berlin resident this would get me there a bit more often for a sauna and a single session with a fav girl. The full price ticket is rather a large investment in both time & money.
Are there any FKK that offer such a deal?

FKK entry fee deals

Hmm...
I can't think of any FKK clubs which offer a lower entry fee for a shorter stay.
Some clubs have deals where if you come in a group they reduce the entry fee per individual.
Some clubs have Happy Hour pricing where they charge you less if you arrive in the middle of the day or late in the evening.
Some partytreffs do offer lower fees for three hour stays versus for the full day. These are the ones which I describe as offering premium pricing. It is debatable though as to whether they are true PTs because these are the ones which don't offer any public action; everything takes place behind closed doors.
Then there are PTs which offer lower rates on certain days to encourage traffic.
Artemis raising its entry fee to this level is going to reduce traffic. Berlin may have the government there but it still is in the middle of a relatively depressed area economically. And Germany overall is officially in a recession. What are these folks thinking?
What they should do is encourage multiple visits by creating a frequent visitor program.
One other club this guy runs, F39 in Bochum, is in bankruptcy proceedings.
Doesn't he also own one other club besides this? I remember reading something on this topic somewhere.

Because theirs no competition and they don't have to and they want to make as much money as they can?

Yes. Harem in Bad Lippspringe, Sakura in Böblingen, Paradise in Stuttgart and some more.

Well I assume they have done the research and you are right. I'm just saying that a certain portion of their cliental might visit more often were there this option. And the way I see it they could have a three hour ticket that puts the onus on the customer to leave before the three hours are up or pay the balance upon checking out. I imagine that often they would end up collecting the whole fee in the end.
But as you say there is no real competition for Artemis and they probably are doing okay as it is. Perhaps with the recent world economic woes they will have to look at such options. As a consumer I can only hope and in the mean time pony up the extra 10 euros. I just hope they don't raise the basic half hour fee for the girls.

They actually do have a ticket available for 800 euros that gives the buyer the 11th & 12th visit for free. Great, but you need to pay 800 up front.
They also have a taxi driver & seniors discount ticket on the low traffic days of Sunday/Monday.

I guess that when I look at a place like Artemis it appears to be a money making factory but one never knows what the bottom line is in a place like this. I do remember that in their first year they offered a discount (40 euros for the month of December) to get people in the door. It seems to have worked and the place is quite busy even on a Monday between Christmas & New Year's Eve. When I was there this past Monday there was a very large influx of customers as I was leaving at about 22:30.

Fkk World has something like this as well, I think the lowest program was a 10 pass ticket for 470 euro's. So each entry is 47 euro's instead of the usual 65. They also have a two for three deal (two people pay, third person is free) that lowers the rate to 44 euro's (only monday thru wednesday).
but one never knows what the bottom line is in a place like this.
I heard somewhere that the initial investment was EUR 10 million. Not a small punt by any standards. Their wet area is very good, the food is pretty OK by FKK standards, the place is well kept and clean, management is cooperative. A good selection on most days. Call me a Palace basher, but I don't feel too bad about the Artemis entry price in comparison. I wish them continued success.

hotel options
Hi all and Happy New Year !
Speaking of which, having read a lot of this thread and particularly the excellent reports from Angus Mgee, I'm considering starting it off with a bang (or a few!) in Berlins FKK Artemis.
So, doing some planning and I've trawled this thread for hotel info but had little joy. I'm normally a cheapy Etap hotel user, you know what you get, clean room, good breakfast buffet, cheap n chearful. Can anyone recommend a similar place near Artemis and Kamilla Dee etc? The Etaps seem to be a little way from there. I could do some googling but am seeking any reccomendations first !
Cheers all.

Hi,
I am certainly not an expert with regard to Berlin Hotels but I know that there is an Ibis hotel very close to the Messe & thus close to Artemis.
http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-0657-ibis-berlin-messe/index.shtml
I have never stayed there though and have no idea how it measures up with regard to service etc.. Just that it is in the right location for your needs.

Investment should have been around 5 Mio EUR. And they do not only charge 5 EUR above Palace for the entrance, they do also charge 60 EUR instead of 50 EUR for 30 min. "Call me a Palace pusher, but I don't feel too bad about the Palce entry price in comparison. I wish them continued success." ;-)
