Paraguay is in my heart forever!!
I have lived here in Asuncion for more than two years now and have great respect for the women and the country.
Yes if you want threesomes you can go to Cafe Arena and get it really cheap or if you want to go to any apartment for the pros they will help your whim any time. The non pros will more than likely not participate but that is normal in most Catholic countries like Paraguay. When you do find a non pro they will make you very happy because they really are the best under the sheets than any other women that I have met thru out the world. I am sure glad that Paraguay is a long ways away from the tourist spots because the women really don't know how incredibly beautiful they are. They arent stuck up like the surrounding countries.
I think why the women here are so aggresive is because of the Chaco war and also if you look around the women are hot and the men are fat.
Personal views on Paraguay and Asuncion
I just spent 2 months in Asuncion and I'd like to share my views, and comment on some of the other reports. Just for the record I loved it, and intend to return for 4-6 months each year.
One observation, if you don't speak Spanish to an intermediate level, and by that I mean if you only know the basics but can't conjugate the common verbs at least for the tenses ¨I do, I will do, I could do, I did, I used to do, and Do it! ¨ then you won't appreciate Paraguay. Hardly anyone speaks any english at all. Learn some spanish somewhere else then come here. If you don't understand what those conjugations mean then you don't know enough spanish to come here unescorted.
I came with intermediate spanish, and I also studied for 6 weeks at a spanish school called Idipar, in Manduvera, near Colon, 81K for 3 hr private lesson. Cheapest in South America, and only 3 blocks from Deseos, if you want that after-school relaxation therapy.
My reasons for loving Asuncion and Paraguay.
Very laid back and friendly. It might be the heat but no-one was agressive, up-themselves or unfriendly. I hired a car for 3 weeks, and even the drivers, while only giving a cursory think about obeying the road rules, did everything politely. I hardly ever heard a horn blow in anger.
Not full of tourists. Yes it is dirty and a bit boring, but it isn't overrun like Cusco, Foz de Iguazu, Buenos Aires, or Rio, and the prices reflect that. Travel outside Asuncion by car. It is a truly beautiful country, green, subtropical, fresh fruit for sale everywhere, picturesque mountain scenes, villages full of germans or italians. The lack of tourist infastructure means so much is unreachable by public transport, and there are only a few tour operators working. To visit the waterfalls and splendour in the national parks you need a vehicle. The locals all know where to go, and its like a code that has to be cracked. The 450km drive to Filadelfia in the Chaco is said to be boring and barren. I found it full of people trying to survive, gas stations every 60km or so, and with a countryside of suprising beauty. I never felt bored, either going out or back. Filadelfia itself can't be described, just experienced.
Although it is definitely a 3rd world country, they are trying, and it is definitely more modern that Peru, Ecuador or Bolivia in a lot of ways, but not so much as Chile or Argentina, making it for me just the right mix. Also, for me, and it must be the German influence, but they sell a decent sausage, not like the rubbish you get in Argentina.
I found sitting outside the Lido Bar with a beer that comes in an ice bucket about 5 in the afternoon, watching the passing parade and the flag lowering ceremony over the road at the Parthenon to be just the thing after a long day.
Cheap. I stayed at the Palmas del Sol hotel for about $25 per night, negotiated down from $37 because of my length of stay. Chica friendly, clean, with air conditioning and fridge in the rooms, the best breakfast feast in South America and a cheap restaurant at night if you want it. I took a number of different chicas there without fuss and nothing but a smile from everyone.
I have also stayed at La Espanola, cheap, cleanish, average breakfast, with air-conditioning for 80K GS per night. Chica friendly, but because I paid for a single room every time I brought a chica back they charged me an extra 40K, even if it was for an hour. That was a year ago.
Go to any of the shopping centres during the week, like Shopping del Sol, Villa Morra or Paseo Carmelitis, and you could fire a shotgun and hurt no-one. Why: because they cater to the 5% with money, and they only come out at weekends. If you want to find the real paraguayan people go to Mercado Cuatro. Some people find it overwhelming or unfriendly. I found it intriguing and fascinating. The little alleyways, the mix of people and things for sale. I had a good haircut in a salon near the meat section for $3 and it was as good as any anywhere else. I also bought clothes, Cds, a mobile phone (with genuine 8 day warranty), and heaps of other stuff. I also never wore anything expensive or too dressy. Of course people looked at me, but all I did was say "hola, hace demasiado calor, si" and they all smiled and answered me back.
Try riding the colectivos for a new experience. Getting on an off in the microsecond the driver takes to change gears is a lesson well learnt; likewise watching the driver steer, change gears and drink terere at the same time; the venders jumping on and off selling a glass of cold coke or sprite for 25cents, fresh fruit etc etc; but at least you can pay with a note and get change, try that in Buenos Aires, Santiago or Sydney. I bought a colectivo guidebook in one of the bookshops in Plaza Uruguay, but normally everyone knows where all the colectivos go. For example my hotel told me to take a No 30 to get to my spanish school, doorstep to almost doorstep for 2100GS, and the school told me a No 23 or 24 would get me back, also 2100GS. 2100GS will also get you to the nearby towns if you want to.
As already posted, cars are not cheap, but that is because there is hardly a middle class here. You either have money for a car or you don't. Cars retain their value. Look at it from the glass half full aspect, when you want to sell your car it will still be worth about the same as when you bought it. Try that in any 1st world country. My teacher at spanish school said the cheaper car yards are near the intersection of Santa Teresa and M. Lopez. There are also expensive car yards there as well, but there's a lot of them.
Cheap pussy.
The paraguayan girls are gorgeous. It must be the mix of southern european and indigenous, but they are outstanding. I wasn't looking for a girlfriend so I personally visited and can vouch for the following privados. I won't comment on most individual girls because everyones taste is different. I didn't have a single bad experience, a couple of average ones perhaps, but in the whole excellent.
Deseos. 14 de Mayo 1008. Easy, clean, 120, 000GS per hour. I had 5 girls there and repeated with all of them
Valkiries Azara 905 Up the stairs, 1st door on left, clean 120K per hour, Excellent
El Eden Azara 495 Top of the stairs, 200K per hour, poss. Gringo pice
Claus II Tte Farina 1442 Top of the stairs, 120K per hour. Lorena was perfect for me and on a couple of occasions came to my hotel for 300K per hour.
P2K Azara 1340 walk in, 100K per hour, a bit dark and the bed was collapsing. The girl was enthusiastic
Hot Girl Eusyabo Ayala 326. 3rd block on the right after the road becomes 6 lanes wide and changes name from Pettirossi at Mercado 4. Walk in. 120K per hour. Beautiful girls.
Ceci Productions 2 girls with the best breasts in Asuncion. I'm not supplying the address. Look her up on asunsex and ring for directions. 300K per hour, reflecting the area. I repeated a number of times, even at the price.
I didn't go to any nightclubs so I can't comment. For the record Í'm Australian, 56, and Í'm well over loud music and drunks late at night.
It's a country well worth getting to know, slowly, at their pace, with a thermos and mug of terere.

18 Months in Paraguay and still not tired...
Whats up guys,
I realised that I wrote a bit of bullsh*t earlier here.
I believe I first had to find my place here. Lack of experience etc
Right now I am starting to get the true feeling of living in PY, because Iam no longer living in a Hotel but in a Familys house, with Mother, Grandmother, Son and a few other guests. I life there for less than 50 Euro per Month. And I don't know but I somehow love the experience.
Its very impressive, you get to know a life where you wash your clothes by hands or where you will see an empty refrigerator with bottles of cold water instead Coke, Fanta or Juice.
I use a lot of money for playing poker almost daily at Cyberking Internetcafe. (14 de Mayo, next to Supercentro and Stripclub "Playboy") So you will most likely find me sitting there lots of times.
You are right that the women here are shy and conservative, but in a different way than lets say a german woman, who is not rarely full of herself and strongly believes in emanzipation and equality in a relationship. (which means taking control over the male) Paraguayas are still mostly caring women, the way every man loves their women to B.
I must admit there can be even good experiences with Putas here. You pay 500. 000 (about 110 Dollar) and get a whole night with MANY of the girls. Take them to the club and get a bit of girlfriend- or at least one night stand feeling. Even better, get two and a suite at Hotel Guarani for a night, with Jacuzzi and bang them both and you have your amazing threesome. Full night. Still cheaper than anywhere else in the world. And most likely better.
No worrys, no problems the day after.
But still nothing beats being successful at picking up a regular chica at the Shopping Mall, Discotheka, or. Wait. Here at Cyberking (why not? Haha.) I just still need to improve my castellano a lot more, combined with money nothing here can stop the evil german kid
Well, so what else can I say? I just love the Paraguayas, they make perfect wifes. It seems I lost my corazon here. (and someone else)
Good luck for the search to everyone, the journey seems hard but beatable, by time.
Saludos,
Manuel
