I have been to Tallinn/Estonia a few times in the last three years. As Ryanair now has a new flightline from Scandinavia to Riga I might take a weekendtrip to the city that was once the biggest cities of the Kingdom of Sweden. Onetime when I visited Tallinn I took a cab to a "house" (brothels) does it exists any activitys like that in Riga? or do you have make a phonecall and order girl to Hotellroom? It is one of the few strip joints in town that provide a relatively honest service from what I understand. Not cheap - but you shouldn't get the entire contents of your wallet removed.

Since you were last here five years ago, you will notice that a huge amount of strip clubs have opened up in the Old Town.

Guys, I thought I would ad my two cents to this group as I have taken advantage of it on many occasions.

I have just returned from Riga, having been there for several days on purely a pleasure trip (first time there)

Hotel v Apartment

I would recommend getting an apartment. Definitely go for a two grade above and you will get an excellent apartment for less money then a 3-5 star hotel. Plus you do not have any unnecessary issues with hotel security with late night visitors.

Mobile Phone: This is very easy, you can purchase from any newspaper shop, tobacco stall or petrol station a sim card with local number. I used the Zeltazivina, (orange colour) which is Tele 2 and seemed to cover most of the networks. This you can purchase for 2. 96 latts which includes a 1. 95latts pre-paid credit. I suggest you purchase an addition 4-5 latts top up card at the same time (this works in the same way as pay as you system in UK). Lativa seem to use mobile number as we would drink water, simply use and discard

Strip clubs. This has to be the same in every country, whilst I have been ripped off on many occasions at London Strip joints I came to Riga with higher expectations. Sadly this was not the case. I would avoid like the plague any strip joints. I was in the Jockey club last night and having paid my 10Latts (10 GPB) entrance I was charged about 4 latts for a small bottle bear and then proceeded to send the next 20minutes, watching fully clothed girls wiggle their body around a pole, not even a proper dance the type you get when you goto a night club and there are bunch of people who don't know each other well and make small body movements which indicates that they are dancing. This is a sad excuse for ripping people off. I was taken to an erotic massage by a Russian taxi driver around 2am. This one was called the Aprodita in Lachplesha street. The secret is the ensure that you do not let your driver go. I had told him that I wanted to be taken home afterwards so he stayed.

I would seriously lover your expectations of ever seeing the girl you though you had asked for walk through your doors. Specially if the agency is run the Russians. Lv etc. These are pretty much operated by Russians who have girls who have come over from Estonia for the weekend to work. Hey are dotted around town in cars waiting for that call. Don't get me wrong, they are not back and give good service but what was the point of spending hours trawling through the website making your shortlist when you are highly unlikely to be getting that girl of your choice.

Another thing lot of these escort sites give out what seems to be he escorts mobile numbers (surely the agency can not have that many different mobile! ) but no alas, remember what I said earlier about mobile number. The numbers are either to an working house, club or erotic massage establishment. I stayed in a 2 bedroom modern apartment which was only about a year old, 10 minutes walk in to Old Riga town centre and it was very nice apartment for myself. I paid 105 euro a night. Hotels I looked at were 120 – 140 euros a night and no were as spacious and private.

I also recommend you take up the airport pick-up arrangements (around 10 euros)..
Makes it much easier to get to the place and you can do the hand over of keys etc… at the apartment.

That's OK that our service was not interesting for you. Although we do have some girls that can do one hour meetings, it's not what we are really set up to do.

Having read Sporn's comments I agree in the main. In fact, for a first timer Riga is now more difficult to find good value but for those of us who have been coming for several years: we know the scene but have also seen how prices have risen and how some services are worse.

Massage: The prices have recently jumped up. They were never places to go for sex, only massage and a hand job. However, some places do a really good massage and the hand job is good too although since the prices have risen they are similar to one hour of sex with a girl from the cheaper agencies. Having said that, the cheaper agencies do not offer much. The massage place Bikini has an excellent wet foam massage after a sauna which is really relaxing.

Agencies: The websites for Ladylux, Intimserviss etc are all the same and the girls try to spend as much of the hour as possible not having sex. Some girls are OK but it is hit and miss.
