I had to move again yesterday because the hotel I was staying at was booked full and I did not reserve ahead. In the past I could always add a few days at a time at the end of one reservation but a lot of the hotels are filling up now if I wait until the last minute. A few days out the selection is still good.

This was an Ayenda property that was literally two doors down from where I was before, right on Avenue 70. But no hot water, elevator broken, TV not working, and worst of all, WiFi not functional 80% of the time. Adding insult to injury, most expensive room I have had so far this trip. I hate to give any place a death sentence, but you can do better than here, called the Hotel Florida Nueva, almost directly across from the Dorado Hotel, a landmark on the Avenue. Also super noisy, right on top of a disco but that doesn't bother me, I can sleep thru a train wreck.

I think very few of the Centro street girls can work Lleras not having enough game to pull a foreigner. The Venezuelans in Centro are much more adept at asking for more money than the Colombians. Sometimes when a Venezuelan quotes me say 50 k, I tell them the Colombians don't ask for that amount, and ask them why they cost more and I get a stupid look. I don't blame them for asking for more, but things are changing in El Centro, at least for foreigners in my opinion, yet there are still tons of desperate girls working that will quote you the same as the locals.

But at least prices in Meddy are good compared to other mongering places. Like you I am waiting for Asia to open back up also so I can resume my travels there, Pattaya being my favorite spot, I have lots of friends there.

I prefer a woman who can relax and carry on a conversation. One of my worst experiences was with a girl who had that deer in the headlights look the whole time.

I also don't pay in dollars. One of the advantages of knowing girls before they started landing the big fish is that often you don't have to pay according to the new price list.

I did go to a very low budget brothel in Germany, but it was on par with Thailand, and the FKK I went to cost 90 Euros just to get in the door with no booze included and terrible snack food. As far as the best bang for your buck, after Colombia I would rank the Philippines / Thailand / Costa Rica similar as far as costs. And mongering in Vietnam can be challenging compared to the other venues you mentioned, yet I had a few good experiences there.

I have some very fond memories of my experiences there and like you can't wait for it to open back up.

In Costa Rica, almost every single one of them hopped in the shower with me like it was standard protocol.
