Cali Report (Tue, Apr 19- Sun, Apr 24)
Airport.
I landed around 8:30, no issues on flight. Of note, Cali's international airport baggage claim is small and they seem to check ¾ of the people's luggage when you leave. This is the third trip now over 4 years where that's been a hassle. There is an ATM as you exit outside to the right. I grabbed cash there. The Cab into the Grenada district was 57 k and took 25 minutes.
Hotel.
I elected to stay at the Gran Hotel Cali based on BayBoy's suggestion. It's basic, bust spacious, and the staff is very attentive. I like having a door person in this case. I've only brought in one girl, but no hassle. Cost is $26 for a basic room and $36 for a one bedroom apartment. , They charge a few more bucks for two people. The location can be a bit loud, so I suggest you request a high floor or back of building if available. Didn't use the tv, wifi good for browsing, but not if you need for work. For Saturday night I stayed at the Hotel Spiwak in Chipichape as I had a date with a hottie from Seeking Arrangement. Cost was $75 for a King Bed Suite. Overall decent hotel and right by the mall.
