I agree with you that the original term "FKK" refers to the naturist lifestyle and that in Germany all saunas are nudist saunas. I've gone to many in Germany and in other countries in which saunas can only be enjoyed in the nude.

Obviously, in an FKK campground, in which the entire facility is FKK, there would be no need to designate the sauna area as an FKK area. In many of the public wellness centers (hallenbads) in which there is a regular swimming area, water slides and other facilities designed for family use, the sauna area is designated as a nudist FKK area to differntiate it from the rest of the facility in which swimsuits are worn.

The discussion here on the thread to which I responded, asked for the origin of the use of "FKK" and "sauna club" when referring to the clubs that we visit for paid sex even though, as you know, any public display of sexuality at true FKK facilities are forbidden. That was the gist of my earlier post.

Thanks guys for [b]all[/b] the input and views here on this historical curiosity of mine. Now let us not get into a dick swinging match about the origins of FKK. and who knows the correct version of history. I am not one who cares much for historical accuracy in any sort of absolute sense. I like to look at all the different versions offered and find a sort of middle path as that is about the best we can do with the past. Memory is very selective.

But you have offered me some insight and also given me avenues to explore further. For this I thank you.

I agree with AM. I share the same historical curiosity about Sauna-FKK clubs and yes absolute historical accuracy is difficult to achieve but so what!

Hi guys,

I stayed at Etap sued west linden, perfect for me for the cheap price and cause it is enough close to both World and Oase.

But we are now planning to go and we are in 3, we want to have 3 single rooms, so just in case Etap linden will not have 3 rooms for all the days we will stay there, where can be an other possibility ?

I found:

A ) Mercure Hotel Kongress Wetzlar, far 10 km, but 20 euro per day more than Etap linden

B ) ETAP HOTEL Frankfurt Sued Offenbach, only 10 euro more than Etap linden, but far about 60km from it.

So far as it is much easier if we will accomodate close each other, any other hotel in linden ?

HB[/QUOTE]I have made arrangement to stay at this place on August 27, trying to see if they will accommodate me for an extra day on Aug 26. They told me to call back on Aug 20 to see if the room is available for me to rent 2 nights at 25 per night. Not bad for a place to crash after World. Definitely save on cab, rental and gas fares. With 25 euro I can't expect comfort but just a place to crash.

I went to FKK Stuttgart (Phoenix Club) several years ago. There were about 35 girls there, and probably about 10 guys when I visited. The selection seemed just a slight notch above a medium to upper level massage parlor, with an occassional hotty, but mostly they were also slightly older. Is it still open, or has the name changed. I will be in Germany in a few weeks again, and just wondered if it's still around or in the same location under a different name. I did not see it mentioned in the threads lately.

Phoenix is still opend, but it's very quiet regarding reports on that club, here and on German boards. Think they did some renovation, but I have never been there. Why you wanna go there? IMHO Paradise is a much better choice, hard- and software-wise.

Is the Wfi service in Germany/Europe the same as in the USA?

In other words if I bring my laptop or probably Ipad when I come back to Germany will it work just like at any hotel or Starbucks here in the USA?

At that time I couldn't travel too far from the hotel to look for better places. I remember that they had the locker room, the showers, the sauna, the jaccuzi, the lounge areas, etc.

FKK Stuttgart had relatively cramped quarters. I remember it had four floors of rooms, with the bottom level being the locker room and lounge area, the second level having rooms and a communal shower. The third and fourth floors were all private rooms. There was no orgy room that I saw, just private rooms with mattresses thrown on the floors. Plus, I did not see them changing the linens on the beds between sessions, probably filthy. When I went to the room with my girl, she through a big towel over the center of the bed to give us a cleaner environment to lie down on.

I did also get a chance to visit FKK-Haus. I was having to sneak out at night, and be back relatively early the next morning for meetings. I enjoyed it, but it was relatively crowded with patrons, and the girls were choosing their best prospects, which I was not.

Thank you for the information, and I'll check out my other options this time. I should have a little more freedom this trip.

It is sometimes difficult to understand these types of technical issues, particularly if you are not a techie. The IEEE 802.11x wireless protocol that is the basis for WIFI hotspots and wireless networking is an international standard that is mostly compatible worldwide. Some countries disallow use of certain channels, but for the most part, you should have no difficulties whether it is an IPad or a Laptop enabled for WIFI networking.
